What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5026 LAKESIDE AND C5071 ACKENTHWAITE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. C5026 Lakeside, from its junction with Woodlands Close, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx 240m.

Alternative Route: via the B5285, A593, A5084, A5092 and the unrestricted section of the C5026.

Duration: From 8th October 2024 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/11782)

2. C5071 Ackenthwaite, from its junction with the B6385, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx. 255m.

Alternative Route: via the C5073 Woodhouse Lane, A6, B6385 and the unrestricted section of the C5071.

Duration: From 21st October 2024 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/11899)

The Order will come into operation on 8th October 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
