Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): Order No. MCC140590058:
The City of Manchester (Fog Lane, Burnage Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Fog Lane.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: (1) Fog Lane, Wilmslow Road, School Lane, Parrs Wood Road (2) Parrs Wood Road, School Lane, Kingsway, Homestead Crescent, Westcroft Road (3) Fog Lane, Kingsway, Westcroft Road, Parrs Wood Road.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate replacing gas mains with associated connections and services.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 18th October 2024 to the 4th November 2024. The order shall come into operation on the 18th October 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
