ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (U6527 Birkdale, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Birkdale – from the junction with U6522 Collington Lane West to the junction with U6528 Grenada Close.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6527 Birkdale – B2182 Cooden Sea Road, Cooden Drive – U6536 Westcourt Drive – U6534 Collington Avenue – U6527 Birkdale and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23 and 25 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U6433 The Grove/Rope Walk, Rye) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow Centurion Traffic Management to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

The Grove/Rope Walk – for approximately 30 meters at the level crossing.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic northbound via U6433 The Grove, Deadmans Lane – A268 Rye Hill, Fishmarket Road – A259(T) Fishmarket roundabout, Fishmarket Road, South Undercliff, Strand Quay, Wish Street roundabout – A268 Wish Street, Ferry Road, Station Approach, Cinque Ports Street – U6433 Rope Walk and southbound via U6433 Rope Walk – A268 Tower Street, Landgate, Rye Hill – U6433 Deadmans Lane, The Grove.

The Order commences 19 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on two days between 19 and 21 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Whitebread Lane – from the junction with U6631 Quickbourne Lane to the junction with U6415 Stoddards Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A268 Whitebread Lane – A28 Station Road, Main Street – B2088 Rye Road, Northiam Road, Main Street – A268 Peasmarsh Road, Whitebread Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 9 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Crowhurst Road – from the junction with C307 Ballards Hill to the junction with U6959 Plough Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C93 Crowhurst Road, Sandrock Hill, Crowhurst Road – B2092 Queensway – A2690 Combe Valley Way – A2691 Haven Brook Avenue – C345 Watermill Lane – C307 Crowhurst Road, Catsfield Road, Ballards Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 9 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Farthing Lane – from the junction with C277 Redpale to the junction with C18 Herrings Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C277 Redpale, Bluekiln Road – C18 Herrings Road and vice versa.

The Order commenced 17 December 2023 and was made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice and a Temporary Successive Notice under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 11 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

C213 Willard’s Hill/Ludpit Lane, Robertsbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under

Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Brightling Road – from the junction with C213 Willards Hill to the junction with C18 Rectory Hill. Diversion via C18 Rectory Hill, The Street, Long Reach – C603 Sheepshaw Lane – C212 Perrymans Lane, Kings Hill Road, School Hill – A265 High Street, Etchingham Road, Straight Mile, High Street, Haremere Hill, Station Road – A21(T) London Road, Silverhill, Northbridge Street roundabout – C18 Northbridge Street, High Street, Station Road, Brightling Road and vice versa.

Willard’s Hill/Ludpit Lane – from the junction with C18 Brightling Road to the junction with C213 Oxenbridge Lane.

Diversion via C213 Oxenbridge Lane – A265 High Street, Haremere Hill, Station Road – A21(T) London Road, Silverhill, Northbridge Street roundabout – C18 Northbridge Street, High Street, Station Road, Brightling Road and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 7 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 25 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

U3234 Egremont Place/U3235 Halton Terrace,

Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)  Order 2024

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road; Temporary Road Closures

Bembrook Road – from the junction of U3205 Croft Road to the junction with U3234 Egremont Place. Diversion via U3205 Croft Road – U3186 Priory Road – U3234 Egremont Place and vice versa. Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 7 October and 13 December 2024.

Collier Road – at the junction with U3203 Bembrook Road.

Diversion via U3203 Collier Road – U3205 Croft Road – U3186 Priory Road – U3234 Egremont Place – U3203 Bembrook Road and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 26 October and 3 November 2024.

Croft Road – at the junction with U3203 Bembrook Road.

Diversion westbound via U3205 Croft Road – U3186 Priory Road – U3197 Wellington Road – U3191 Milward Road – U3186 Castle Hill Road – A2101 Albert Road – A259 Denmark Place, Fountain roundabout, Breeds Place, Pelham Place, Sturdee Place, Marine Parade, East Parade – U3208 High Street – U3205 Swan Terrace, Croft Road and eastbound via U3205 Croft Road, Swan Terrace – U3208 High Street – A259 The Bourne, East Beach Street, East Parade, Marine Parade, Sturdee Place, Pelham Place, Breeds Place, Fountain roundabout, Denmark Place – A2101 Albert Road – U3186 Castle Hill Road – U3191 Milward Road – U3197 Wellington Road – U3186 Priory Road – U3205 Croft Road.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 26 October and 3 November 2024.

Egremont Place – at the junction with U3203 Bembrook Road.

Diversion via U3203 Bembrook Road – U3205 Croft Road – U3186 Priory Road – U3235 Halton Place, Halton Crescent, Halton Terrace and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 11 November and 6 December 2024.

Halton Terrace – at the junction with U3203 Bembrook Road.

Diversion via U3203 Bembrook Road – U3205 Croft Road – U3186 Priory Road – U3235 Halton Place, Halton Crescent, Halton Terrace and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 11 November and 6 December 2024.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic as detailed above.

The Order commenced 1 April 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed above, depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6589 Gunters Lane 

& U6586 West Down Road, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road; Temporary Road Closures

Gunters Lane – from the junction with U6586 West Down Road to the junction with U6592 Glenleigh Park Road.

Diversion via U6586 West Down Road – U6582 Broadoak Lane – U6732 Summer Hill Road – U6576 Ellerslie Lane – C346 Turkey Road – U6589 Gunters Lane and vice versa.

West Down Road – from the junction with U6589 Gunters Lane to the junction with U6586 Quebec Close.

Diversions northbound via U6589 Gunters Lane – C346 Turkey Road – U6576 Ellerslie Lane – U6732 Summer Hill Road – U6582 Broadoak Lane – U6586 West Down Road and vice versa; or westbound via U6582 Broadoak Lane – U6732 Summer Hill Road – U6576 Ellerslie Lane – U6744 Broadoak Lane – U6737 Deerswood Lane – U6744 Broadoak Lane – A259(T) Little Common Road – U6586 West Down Road and vice versa; or eastbound via U6745 Woodsgate Park – U6588 Down Road – A259(T) Little Common Road – U6586 West Down Road and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic as set out above.

The Order commences 21 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 October & 16 December 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
