HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC LOCAL INQUIRY WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

Notice is hereby given that an Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to determine Julia Gough (Hertfordshire County Council) Hertfordshire County Council (Kelshall 18, 19, 21 and 22) Modification Order 2022 and will attend at: Kelshall Village Hall, Village Green, Kelshall, SG8 9SE On 5 November 2024 at 10.00am

To hold a public local inquiry into the Order The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications, will be to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-Adding to them Whites Lane Byway Open to All Traffic commencing from The Street at TL 3334 3601 (point A on part 1 of the Order Plan) then SE along the track for approximately 320m to a right-angled bend at TL 3355 3577 (point B on part 1 of the Order Plan) and continuing as a Restricted Byway ENE along the track for approximately 110m to join Therfield Byway Open to All Traffic 36 at the parish boundary at TL 3364 3581 (point C on part 1 of the Order Plan).

Adding to them Keepers Lane Byway Open to All Traffic commencing from The Street at TL 3334 3601 (point A on part 1 of the Order Plan) then SSW along the track for approximately 285m to TL 3325 3574 (point D on parts 1 & 2 of the Order Plan) then SW along the track for approximately 380m, passing a junction with Kelshall Footpath 15 at TL 3306 3557 (point E on part 1 of the Order Plan), to a junction with Kelshall Footpath 17 and Kelshall Byway Open to All Traffic 18 at TL 3297 3549 (point F on part 1 of the Order Plan). Adding to them a bridleway commencing from Keepers Lane Byway Open to All Traffic at TL 3325 3574 (point D on parts 1 & 2 of the Order Plan) then SSE for approximately 685m to the E corner of a small wood and a junction with Kelshall Footpath 19 at TL 3354 3517 (point G on part 2 of the Order Plan). Upgrading to a bridleway part of Kelshall Footpath 19 commencing from the east corner of a small wood at TL 3354 3517 (point G on part 2 of the Order Plan) then SSW on the SE side of the wood for approximately 85 metres to TL 3351 3510 (point H on part 2 of the Order Plan), then SSE on the E side of the field boundary for approximately 185m to cross the stream and join Therfield Byway Open To All Traffic 41 at the parish boundary at TL 3358 3494 (point I on part 2 of the Order Plan). (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN EASTFIELD ROAD AND THE ROAD FRONTING NOS.16-24 THE WARREN, ROYSTON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Eastfield Road, Royston from its junction with Newmarket Road north westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. the road fronting Nos.16-24 The Warren, Royston from its junction with The Warren south eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN NEWMARKET ROAD, ROYSTON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Newmarket Road, Royston from its junction with Icknield Walk north eastwards to its junction with A505 Royston Bypass, a distance of approximately 935m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Newmarket Road, A10 Melbourn Road and A505 Royston Bypass.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SHAFTENHOE END ROAD, BARLEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Shaftenhoe End Road, Barley from its junction with Bogmoor Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 40m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Bogmoor Road, May Street, B1039 (Barley Road/Chishill Road), Church End and Shaftenhoe End Road. The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CHURCH LANE, KELSHALL) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Kelshall from its junction with Fears Green south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
