What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C302 (Part), Hindon; from its junction with High Street to its junction with The Dene. B) School Lane (Part), Hindon; from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 40m in a north easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and associated works. Alternative route A via C302 (unaffected length) - C43 - C25 and vice versa. Alternative route B via School Lane (unaffected length) - B3089 - C25 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 October 2024, the phases will run consecutively, and the closures will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00 for 5 days. C) A30 London Road (Part), Salisbury and Laverstock and Ford; from its roundabout junction with London Road to its roundabout junction with A338 to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out replace damaged protection plate on the rail bridge and associated works. Alternative route via A338 -The Portway - A36 - A30 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 October 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: D) Tisbury Gates Lane (Part), Tisbury and West Tisbury; for a distance of approximately 50m either side of the level crossing to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out level crossing and associated works. Alternative route via Tisbury Gates Lane (unaffected length) - C61 - Share Lane - East Hatch - Tisbury Gates Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 October 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:00 and 07:00 for 1 night. E) C294 (Part), Durnford; from its property known as Sheppey Cottage for a distance of approximately 700m in a south westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out tree felling and associated works. Alternative route via C294 (unaffected length) - C56 - A345 - C292 - C294 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 October 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. For further information please contact Chevron Traffic Management on 03301 744388. Orders A) to E) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that on 25 September 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act of 1984") and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be as follows: - To introduce No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road: Bishops Mead - both sides - from its junction with Church Road to a point 35 metres east of that junction; Duck Lane - north east - from its junction with Church Road to a point in line with the boundary between Nos. 1 and 3 Duck Lane; Duck Lane - south west - from its junction with Church Road to a point 12 metres south east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 1 and 3 Duck Lane; Elm Close - both sides - from a point 12 metres east of its junction with Elm Close (between Nos. 4 and 6) to a point 12 metres west of that junction; Elm Close - north and east side - from a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 13 and 15 Elm Close to a point 13 metres north of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 23 and 25 Elm Close; Elm Close - south, east and west side - from a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 13 and 15 Elm Close to a point 13 metres north of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 23 and 25 Elm Close; The Green – north - from its junction with Church Road to a point 12 metres west of a point in line with the boundary between properties knows as Corner House, The Green and Kelsey Cottage, The Green; Woodland Way - north - from a point 13 metres east of its junction with Church Road to a point 5 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 3 and 5 Woodland Way; Woodland Way - south - from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Church Road to a point 8 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 6 and 8 Woodland Way. To introduce No waiting at any time and No loading Mon-Fri 2pm-4pm on the following lengths of road: Church Road - both sides - from a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 73 and 75 Church Road to a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 77 and 79 Church Road; Church Road - north west - from a point 75 metres north east of its junction with Woodland Way to a point 8 metres south west of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 13 and 15 Church Road; Church Road - north west - from a point 11 metres south west of a point in line with the centre line of the vehicular access to Laverstock and Ford Sports Club to a point 3 metres north east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 25 and 27 Church Road; Church Road - north west - from a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 39 and 41 Church Road to a point 5 metres north east of a point in line with the boundary between properties Nos. 2 Elm Close and 43 Church Road; Elm Close - both sides - from its junction with Church Road to a point 12 metres west of that junction. To introduce No waiting Mon-Fri 2pm-4pm and No loading Mon-Fri 2pm-4pm on the following lengths of road: Church Road - both sides - from a point 20 metres south west of its junction with Woodland Way to a point in line with the boundary between the properties known as Latch Cottage, Church Road and Corner House, The Green; Church Road - from a point 3 metres north east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 13 and 15 Church Road to a point 11 metres south west of a point in line with the vehicular access to Laverstock and Ford Sports Club; Church Road -north west - from a point 4 metres south west of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 33 and 35 Church Road to a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 39 and 41 Church Road; Church Road - north west - from a point 5 metres north east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 2 Elm Close and 43 Church Road to a point 7 metres north east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 43 and 45 Church Road; Church Road - north west - from a point 20 metres north east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 43 and 45 Church Road to a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 73 and 75 Church Road; Church Road - south east - from a point 4 metres north east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 19 and 21 Church Road to a point 95 metres north east of its junction with Woodland Way; Church Road - south east - from a point 18 metres south west of its junction with the south western vehicular access to the St. Joseph's, St. Edmund's and Wyvern College School Campus to a point 4 metres south west of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 33 and 35 Church Road; Church Road - south east -from a point 20 metres north east of its junction with the south western vehicular access to the St. Joseph's, St. Edmund's and Wyvern College School Campus to a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 45 and 47 Church Road; Church Road - south east - from a point 13 metres north east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 45 and 47 Church Road to a point 18 metres south west of its junction with the north eastern vehicular access the St. Joseph's, St. Edmund's and Wyvern College School Campus; Church Road - south east - from a point 20 metres north east of its junction with the north eastern vehicular access to the St. Joseph's, St. Edmund's and Wyvern College School Campus to a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 73 and 75 Church Road; Elm Close - both sides - from a point 12 metres west of its junction with Church Road to a point 12 metres east of its junction with Elm Close (between Nos. 4 and 6); Elm Close - both sides - from a point 12 metres west of its junction with Elm Close (between Nos. 4 and 6) to a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 13 and 15 Elm Close. To introduce No loading Mon-Fri 2pm-4pm on the following lengths of road: Bishops Mead - both sides - from its junction with Church Road to a point 17 metres east of that junction; Church Road - north west - from a point 20 metres south west of its junction with Woodland Way to a point 75 metres north east of that junction; Church Road - south east - from a point 20 metres south west of its junction with Woodland Way to a point 95 metres north east of that junction; Woodland Way - both - from its junction with Church Road to a point 15 metres east of that junction.

A copy of the Order and plans may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Act of 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 7 October 2024.
