(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.3)
ORDER 2024

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the Order will be to make permanent the car club bay restrictions previously introduced on an experimental basis in the following lengths of road -

Car Club Permit Holders Only

Roads in the Borough of Tunbridge Wells

AMHERST ROAD – Permit CC-07 - On the west side between points 30 metres and 36 metres south of its junction with Queens Road

GOODS STATION ROAD – Permit CC-08 - the south-east side between points 130 metres and 136 metres south-west of its junction with Kirkdale Road

WARWICK PARK – Permit CC-05 - On the south-west side between points 41 metres and 47 metres south-east of its junction with Nevill Street
The Order will also make administrative amendments which do not change or have an effect on the existing restrictions in each of the following lengths of road:-

Roads in the Borough of Tunbridge Wells

WOODBURY PARK ROAD,
Limited waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 1 hour No return within 4 hours & Permit Holders Only (C)
Mon- Sat 8am-6pm
On east side between points 77 metres and 88 metres south-west of its junction with Park Road

KENT CLOSE, PADDOCK WOOD
Limited waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6pm 2 hours No return within 4 hours & Permit Holders Only (PW)
Mon-Fri 8am-6pm

On east side between points 10 metres and 17 metres north of its southern most east-west spur

STONE STREET, CRANBROOK
Disabled badge holders only

On north-east side between points 12 metres and 19 metres south-east of its junction with Carriers Road

The Order was made on 3 October 2024 and its provisions come into effect on 14 October 2024.

The Amelia Scott, Mount Pleasant Road, Tunbridge Wells TN1 1AW and online at tunbridgewells.gov.uk/consultation.

Should you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks of publication of this notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose
