NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDER SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY IN HERTFORDSHIRE (HODDESDON 73 AND BRICKENDON LIBERTY 30) MODIFICATION ORDER 2018
The above-named Order, made on 20th July 2018, was confirmed by an Inspector acting for the Secretary of State for the Environment on 4th September 2024
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement by adding the Bridleway running from a junction with Hoddesdon Restricted Byways 21 and 23 and Footpath 22 at TL 3547 0854 to Pembridge Lane at TL 3242 0706.

The Order becomes operative as from the date on which it was confirmed, but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, or any regulation made thereunder, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 of the Act within 42 days from 3rd October 2024, make application for the purpose of the High Court.
(TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS IN A602 WATTON AT STONE BYPASS, WATTON AT STONE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 40mph on that length of A602 Watton at Stone Bypass, Watton at Stone from a point 555m north eastwards of its junction with the High Street/A602 Hooks Cross roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 186m (“the Road”), when signs are in place.
The Order is needed because duct and cabling works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BEECH CLOSE, WARE AND NUTCROFT, DATCHWORTH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Beech Close, Ware from its junction with Hoe Lane south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Nutcroft, Datchworth from its northernmost junction with Hawkins Hall Lane south westwards, south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 509m.
An alternative route will be via Hawkins Hall Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN WARE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading at any time on both sides of A119 Amwell End, Ware from its junction with A119 London Road north eastwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 42m.
2. To prohibit all vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading at any time on both sides of Broadmeads, Ware from its junction with A119 Amwell End north westwards and south westwards for its entire length.
3. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from A119 Amwell End into Station Road, Ware.
An alternative route will be via A119 Amwell End, A1170 (Bridge Foot/Viaduct Road) and Station Road.
4. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Broadmeads into A119 Amwell End, Ware.
An alternative route will be via A119 Amwell End, A1170 (Bridge Foot/Viaduct Road) and A119 (London Road/Amwell End).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B158 COWBRIDGE, HERTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B158 Cowbridge, Hertford from its northernmost junction with Dimsdale Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B158 (Cowbridge/Port Hill/Bengeo Street/Wadesmill Road), A602 Westmill Road, A10 (unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/ Gascoyne Way) and B158 (Castle Street/Parliament Square/The Wash/Mill Bridge/Old Cross/Cowbridge).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HUNSDON AND STANSTEAD ABBOTTS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B180 Widford Road, Hunsdon from its junction with Sheares Hoppit south eastwards for a distance of approximately 65m.
An alternative route will be via B180 (Widford Road/Hunsdon Road), B1004 (Ware Road/Widbury Hill/Star Street), A1170 (Bridge Foot/Viaduct Road/London Road/Amwell Hill/Pepper Hill), B181 (Station Road/High Street/Royston Road) and B180 (Hunsdon Road/Stanstead Road/High Street/Widford Road).
2. The existing 7.5 tonnes weight restriction on B181 (Station Road/High Street/Roydon Road), Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with the A414 Eastwick Road/A1170 Pepper Hill roundabout north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with B180 Hunsdon Road, a distance of approximately 2180m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to use this length of road, whilst works are in progress.
3. The existing 7.5 tonnes weight restriction on B180 Hunsdon Road, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with B181 Royston Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 2180m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to use this length of road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH STREET, HERTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Street, Hertford from its junction with Fore Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 27m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF APPLEBY STREET, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Appleby Street, Cheshunt from a point in line with the western boundary of No.243 Appleby Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Appleby Street, Smiths Lane, Hammondstreet Road, Dig Dag Hill, Longfield Lane, Adamsfield, Holbeck Lane and Appleby Street.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE BUS/CYCLE LANE SITUATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF B176 TURNERS HILL, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all public service vehicles and pedal cycles from using the bus/cycle lane situated on the east side of B176 Turners Hill, Cheshunt from a point 50m south of its junction with Windmill Lane southwards for a distance of approximately 102m (“the Bus/Cycle Lane”).
An alternative route will be via B176 Turners Hill.
The definition of a ‘public service vehicle’ has the same meaning as in Section 1 of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981.
The definition of a ‘pedal cycle’ means a cycle powered only by foot or hand.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Bus/Cycle Lane.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Bus/Cycle Lane.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C16 GREAT MUNDEN, GREAT MUNDEN/C16 NASTY, NASTY) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C16 Great Munden, Great Munden/ C16 Nasty, Nasty from its junction with Mentley Lane north eastwards to its junction with Great Munden Public Footpath No.009, a distance of approximately 485m (“the length of Roads”).
An alternative route will be via C16 Great Munden, Mentley Lane West, A10 (Puckeridge Bypass/unnamed road), Station Road and C16 (unnamed road/Nasty).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Halstead Hill, Goffs Oak from a point 200m south east of its junction with Silver Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Halstead Hill, B156 Goffs Lane, Dark Lane, Barrow Lane, Beverley Gardens, Barrow Lane and Halstead Hill.
The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ermine Street, Ware from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.17 Ermine Street southwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Ermine Street, Cambridge Road and Ermine Street.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of East End Green, Hertford from its junction with Hertingfordbury Restricted Byway No.019 south westwards for a distance of approximately 155m (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because tree trimming works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

An alternative route will be via Holbeck Lane, Longfield Lane and Park Lane.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hunsdonbury Lane, Hunsdon from a point 160m south east of its junction with B180 Stanstead Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Hunsdonbury Lane, B180 (Stanstead Road/High Street), Acorn Street and Hunsdonbury Lane.
The Order is needed because electrical repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bell Lane, Hertford from its junction with Fore Street south eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on the west side of this length of road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because gas service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
