NOTICE OF MAKING CITY OF COVENTRY (NORTH VIEW) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”), which comes into operation on Monday, 7th October 2024.
When originally advertised on 15th February 2024 the effect of the Order as proposed was to introduce a prohibition of waiting (double yellow lines), along the whole length of North View (both sides of the road). The Order was proposed to assist access by large lorries, which are currently being obstructed by parked vehicles, into business premises on this route.
Following completion of the statutory consultation and consideration of the objections received, the Council has reached the decision to implement and make the Order in part only. The parts of the Order now being made are set out in the Schedule below. The remainder of the Order as proposed is abandoned.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder, or of any relevant Act, has not been complied with may, within six (6) weeks from today, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
NOTICE OF INTENT
GIBBET HILL ROAD CONTROLLED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING (ZEBRA)
Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), pursuant to its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to introduce a Zebra Crossing on GIBBET HILL ROAD.
The new Zebra Crossing is to be located approximately 25 metres north of its junction with MOREALL MEADOWS.
The proposed crossing will improve pedestrian access between the residential developments of Cryfield Heights and Moreall Meadows which are currently separated by Gibbet Hill Road. The crossing will also improve pedestrian access to and from the University of Warwickshire Campus. It is expected that the work to implement the crossing will begin at the end of October 2024 and that the crossing will be in place by the end of December 2024
The length of the Zig-Zag markings denote the extent of the Controlled Area associated with the Zebra Crossing. The effect of Zig-Zag markings is to prohibit stopping, waiting and overtaking within the Controlled Area.

NOTICE OF INTENT
PROPOSED INSTALLATION OF CONTROLLED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING (TOUCAN) & ESTABLISHMENT OF CYCLE TRACK – LONDON ROAD
Notice is hereby given that, Coventry City Council (“the Council”), pursuant to its powers under sections 65 (1), 65(2) and 66 of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers hereby propose to introduce a length of 2-way Segregated Cycle Track along London Road (northeastern side) from a point approx. sixty (60) metres southeast of its junction with Allard Way to its junction with Abbey Road and along London Road (southwestern side) from its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of approx thirty (30) metres in a southeasterly direction.
Notice is hereby given that, Coventry City Council (“the Council”), pursuant to its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to install a controlled crossing (TOUCAN) on London Road, approx eighteen (18) metres southeast of its junction with Tonbridge Road
The proposed crossing facility should assist pedestrians and pedal cyclists to cross the road. The works should be completed by the end of Autumn 2025.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS KENPAS HIGHWAY SERVICE ROAD COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Kenpas Highway Service Road from o/s house 253 to the junction of Leamington Road.
The Order would come into effect from on Tuesday 15th October 2025 for Hutchinson 3G to allow Severn Trent Water to renew a hydrant to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 18:00 on Thursday 17th October 2024.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Kenpas Highway Service Road.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS LARCH TREE AVENUE, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Larch Tree Avenue between its junction with Fir Tree Avenue and Broad Lane
The Order would come into effect from Monday 14th October 2024 and is required to facilitate water connection renewal works on the highway to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Wednesday 16th October 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works
(d) local vehicular access to Larch Tree Avenue
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
BELL GREEN ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Bell Green Road in a one-way direction from its junction with Jimmy Hill Way to its junction with Nuffield Road.
The Order would come into effect at 08.00 hours on Saturday 12th October 2024 and is required to allow the safe replacement of a damaged gas box on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 17.30 hours on Sunday 13th October 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to Bell Green Road

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Bott Road for its full length.
The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Tuesday 15th October 2024 and is required to allow Severn Trent Water to renew water connections on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Tuesday 29th October 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Berkley Road North between its junction with Mickleton Road and Earlsdon Avenue South.
The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 14th October 2024 and is required to allow Severn Trent Water to renew water services on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Tuesday 22nd October 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Swifts Corner for its full length.
The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 14th October 2024 and is required to allow Severn Trent Water to renew water services on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Monday 21st October 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
EASTERN GREEN DEVELOPMENT, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on those lengths of road forming part of the Eastern Green Development which are shown coloured black on the plan in the Schedule below as they are currently unnamed,
The Order will come into effect from 4th October 2024 is required to allow for the safe continuation of development works and prevent anti-social behaviour on areas of the newly opened road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 26 March 2026.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Eastern Green Development as shown in plan.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
WHITMORE PARK ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Whitmore Park Road from its junction with Holbrook Lane to its junction with St Luke’s Road.
The Order will come into effect from 08.00 hours on 7th October 2024 is required to allow for the safe decommissioning of telecommunications equipment on the roof of Lyric house.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 10th October 2024.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
