Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, MAIDSTONE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.3)
ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the made named Order will introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time on the following length of roads in Maidstone:-
ASH GROVE – DYL – From its junction with Maxwell Drive for a distance of 19 meters in a south easterly direction. HEADINGLEY ROAD – DYL – From its junction with Maxwell Drive for a distance of 19 metres in a north westerly direction. HOWARD DRIVE – DYL – On the northeast side between points 19 metres northwest and 20.5 metres southeast. MAPLE AVENUE – DYL – From a point in line with the boundary of 36/38 Maple Avenue in a northwest direction following the kerb line around the turning head then a southeast direction to a point in line with the boundary of 31/33 Maple Avenue including the circumference of the central island. MAXWELL DRIVE – DYL – (1) On east side from its junction with Headingley Road for a distance of 19.5 metres in a south westerly direction. (2) On west side from its junction with Ash Grove for a distance of 19.5 metres in a south westerly direction. (3) On both sides of its junction with Howard Drive for a distance of 21.5 metres in a north easterly direction.
This order was originally advertised as Variation 49 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been renamed as above.
The Order was made on 10 October 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 11 October 2024.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA

(VARIOUS ROADS, DISTRICT OF SEVENOAKS) (WAITING RESTRICTION AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.6)
ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-.
The effect of the made Order will be to amend existing waiting restrictions on the following length of roads:-
Roads in Brasted and Sevenoaks in the District of Sevenoaks
RECTORY LANE – DYL – On the west side from its junction with the entrance to The Old Yard to a point 8 metres south and to a point 10 metres north joining up the existing lines.
WORSHIPS HILL – RIVERHEAD – SYL - On the southeastern side place SYL between 8.30-9.30am and 3-4pm every day from the existing DYL from the junction with St Marys Drive for a distance of 135 meters in a south westerly direction. HIGH STREET – WESTERHAM – DYL – On the eastern side between 5 metres north and 5 metres south of its junction with Mill Lane. MILL LANE – WESTERHAM – DYL – On both sides from its junction with High Street to a point 2 metres southeast on the northern property boundary of Mill Cottage.
The Order will also make administrative amendments which do not change or have an effect on the existing restrictions on the following lengths of road:-
VINE COURT ROAD - Limited waiting Mon-Fri 8.30am-6.30pm 2 hour No return within 1 hours & Permit Holders Only (F) Mon- Fri 8.30am-6.30pm On east side from the junction with Avenue Road outside 14 Vine Court Road between points 10 metres and 22 metres, 30 meters and 43 meters, 49 metres and 57 metres in a northerly direction. On the west side from the southern boundary of 17 Vine Court Road for a distance of 14 metres in a northerly direction.
The Order was made on 10 October 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 11 October 2024.
This order was originally advertised as Amendment 46 and Amendment 52 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been renamed as above.
