Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – Fulbridge Road, Werrington Ref: 25-151
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Fulbridge Road, Werrington, as lies between Skaters Way and junction 22 A15 Paston Parkway. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: A15 Paston Parkway, Gunthorpe Road, Fulbridge Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/10/2024 and will continue until the street lighting column replacement works have been completed or until the 09/10/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place on the 10/10/2024 between 09:30 - 15:30. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/10/2024 and will continue until the telecommunication works have been completed or until the 09/10/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 10/10/2024 and 20/10/2024. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – Westbrook Avenue, Woodston, Peterborough Ref: 25-140
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Westbrook Avenue, Woodston, as lies between New Road and Westbrook Park Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: New Rd, Westbrook Park Rd and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 07/10/2024 and will continue until the new electrical installation works have been completed or until the 06/10/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 07/10/2024 and the 11/10/2024. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – Cygnet Road Ref: 25-149
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Cygnet Road, as lies between Forder Way and Phorpres Way (northbound only). The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Cygnet Road, The Serpentine, London Road, Phorpres Way. The proposed order will come into force on the 07/10/2024 and will continue until the essential gas works have been completed or until the 06/10/2025, whichever is the earlier. Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order – Fengate Close, Eastgate – 2024 Ref: 25-163
The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/ cycle path known as Fengate Close, Eastgate, as lies between 20 and 21 Fengate Close. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is: Fengate Close, Eastgate, Star Road, Bishops Road and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on 16/10/2024 and will continue until the linkbox replacement works have been completed or until the 15/04/2025, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough King Street, Lolham, Maxey, Peterborough. Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 Ref: 25-141
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as King Street, Lolham, Maxey as lies between points 20 metres either side of Lolham Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: B1443 King St, West St, Glinton Rd, Helpston Rd, A15, Maxey Rd, High St and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 17/10/2024 and will continue until the railway level crossing inspection works have been completed or until the 16/10/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight between 00:30hrs and 06:00hrs on the 17/10/2024 only. The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/ cycle path known as Borthwick Park, as lies between 5 and 9. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order will be signed locally on site. The proposed Order will come into operation on 16/10/2024 and will continue until the installation of telecommunication cabinet works have been completed or until the 15/04/2025, whichever is the earlier. Prohibition of On-street Parking
Parking will be prohibited on the following streets from 06:00hrs on 13th October 2024 until the road has been re-opened to traffic on the 13th October 2024.
Park Road - between Park Crescent and Dogsthorpe Road
Dogsthorpe Road - between Garton End Road and Lawn Avenue
Lawn Avenue - between Dogsthorpe Road St Paul’s Road
St Paul’s Road - between Lawn Avenue and Fulbridge Road
Fulbridge Road - between St Pauls Road and Robert Avenue
Suspension of Bus Lane
Goodwin Walk - From The Pastures to Welbourne (adjacent to Welbourne School)
Suspension of No Entry
Church Street - At the junction with Cowgate
Westgate - At the junction with Park Road
The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to the event taking place on the above roads. There are no alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order. The proposed order will come into force on the 12/10/2024 and will continue until the Great Eastern Run (Half Marathon and Fun Run) have been completed on the 13/10/2024. The Council of the City of Peterborough gives notice pursuant to section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Goldhay Way Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 (Temporary Restriction of Through Traffic) Notice 2024 Ref: 25-162
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Goldhay Way, as lies between Paxton Road and Orton Parkway roundabout.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Goldhay Way, Fletton Parkway, Orton Parkway and vice versa.
This notice is made in the interest of pole removal works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 07/10/2024. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
