What is happening?

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (EASTON AND COSTESSEY, C574 DEREHAM ROAD AND BAWBURGH ROAD) TRAFFIC ORDERS NOTICE 2024

The Norfolk County Council has made the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding the speeds specified below as follows:

The Norfolk County Council (Easton, C574 Dereham Road) (30mph Speed Limit) Amendment Order 2024

The effect of this Order is to amend The Norfolk County Council (Easton; (30 m.p.h. Speed Limit) Order 2004 by extending the length of 30mph speed restriction by a distance of 195m eastwards at the C574 Dereham Road.

The Norfolk County Council (Easton and Costessey, C574 Dereham Road) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2024

The effect of this Order is to revoke The Norfolk County Council (Costessey) (De-Restriction) Order 2002 insofar as that Order refers to the C574 Dereham Road; and to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding 40mph along the C574 Dereham Road from a point 440m east of its junction with the U78063 Bawburgh Road eastwards for a distance of 916m.

The Norfolk County Council (Easton, Bawburgh Road) (20mph and 30mph Speed Limits) Order 2024

The effect of this Order is to:-

1) introduce a 20mph zone along the following roads:-

(i) U78063 Bawburgh Road - From a point 275m south of its junction with the C574 Dereham Road southwards for a distance of 190m to a point 150m north of its junction with the U78085 Hall Road; (Please note that the end point of the 20mph zone has been shortened from 50 metres to 150 metres north of Bawburgh Roads' junction with Hall Road) and

(ii) 7P795 Bluebell Way - From a point 20m west of its junction with the northern part of the U78063 Bawburgh Road eastwards for a distance of 66m to a point 46m east of its junction with the northern part of the U78063 Bawburgh Road; and

2) Decrease the length of the 30mph speed limit at the U78063 Bawburgh Road by 20m; and

The Norfolk County Council (Easton) (30m.p.h. Speed Limit) Order 2004 is amended by deleting the reference to the U78063 Bawburgh Road.

Copies may also be available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich and at the offices of South Norfolk District Council, South Norfolk District Council, The Horizon Centre, Peachman Way, Broadland Business Park, Norwich, NR7 0WF, during normal office hours. However, in-house staffing levels may have been reduced and viewing online would be recommended.
