Wiltshire - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures and Proposed Speed Limit Restriction
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) A350 (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Wellhead Lane to its junction with Wellhead Drove to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction and associated works. Alternative route light vehicles via A3098 - A36 - A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route HGVs via A350 (unaffected length) - A36 - A361 - C234 - C227 - A363 - A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on: 21 October 2024 between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 26 October 2024. 28 October 2024 at 19:00 for 24 hours until 06:00 on 01 November 2024. 01 November 2024 between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 02 November 2024. 04 November between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 09 November 2024. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: B) Petticoat Lane (Part), Dilton Marsh; from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 170m in a westerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out new connection and associated works. Alternative route via Petticoat Lane (unaffected length) - B3099 - High Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 September 2024 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 04 October 2024. For further information please contact OCU Group on 08000 106 163. Orders A) and) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to Close temporarily to all traffic: A) A363 (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Spitfire Retail Park to its roundabout junction with Woodmarsh. B) A363 (Part), Trowbridge; from its roundabout junction with Woodmarsh to its roundabout junction with Aintree Avenue. C) Woodmarsh (Part), North Bradley; from its roundabout junction with A363 to its junction with Axe and Cleaver Lane. And to temporarily suspend the existing No Right Turn Order on the following length of road; when temporary traffic signals are in operation at this location: D) Bradley Road, Trowbrige; from its junction with The Spitfire Retail Park to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing, adjustment of ironworks and other associated works. Alternative route A and B via A363 (unaffected length) - A361 - A363 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route C via Woodmarsh (unaffected length) - A363 - Westbury Road - Woodmarsh (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closures, restriction and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 24 October 2024 and the closure will be required until 29 October 2024. The closures are anticipated to be required 24 hours a day but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Frogmore Road, Westbury - from its junction with Rosefield Way to its junction with Slag Lane; Hawkeridge Road, Slag Lane, Westbury - the complete lengths. Deposit copies of the Order, plan and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Westbury Library, Westbury House, 15 Edward Street BA13 3BD during the hours of 2pm to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday and Friday, 9.30am to 7pm Thursday and 9.30am to 1pm Saturday until 21 October 2024.
