RHODDIR DRWY HYN RYBUDD fod Cyngor Gwynedd wedi gwneud Gorchymyn sydd yn gwahardd unrhyw berson rhag peri i unrhyw gerbyd fynd mewn unrhyw gyfeiriad ar hyd y darn hwnnw o’r Ffordd Di-Ddosbarth a adwaenir fel Y Cilgant, Bangor o bwynt gyferbyn â Rhif 6 Mountaint View, Sgwâr y Fron gan deithio mewn cyfeiriad gogledd orllewinol hyd at bwynt gyferbyn â Rhif 4 Mountain View, Sgwâr y Fron, Bangor.

Mae angen y Gorchymyn ar sail iechyd a diogelwch i’r cyhoedd yn ystod gwaith adfer wal gynnal beryglus.

Y ffordd arall yw teithio mewn cyfeiriad gorllewinol ar y Cilgant hyd at ei gyffordd gyda Ffordd Caergybi ac i’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer cerbydau sydd yn teithio i’r cyfeiriad arall.

Bydd mynediad ar gael i drigolion.

Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar yr 2il o Hydref 2024 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod na fydd hwy na chwe mis neu hyd nes y cwblheir y gwaith y bwriedir ei wneud ar y ffordd, pa un bynnag fyddo gyntaf. Ar hyn o bryd disgwylir y gellir cwblhau’r gwaith o fewn tua 171 diwrnod.

THE GWYNEDD COUNCIL
(EMERGENCY CLOSURE - UNCLASSIFIED ROAD KNOWN AS THE CRESCENT, BANGOR)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gwynedd Council have made an Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed in either direction along that length of Unclassified Road known as The Crescent, Bangor from a point opposite No.6, Mountain View, Vron Square travelling north westerly up to a point opposite No.4 Mountain View, Vron Square, Bangor.

The Order is necessary on health and safety grounds to the public during works to repair a dangerous retaining wall.

The alternative route is to travel westerly on The Crescent up to its junction with Holyhead Road and vice versa for vehicles travelling in the opposite direction.

Access will be maintained for residents.

The Order came into effect on the 2nd October 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the work which it is proposed to carry out on the road is completed, whichever is the earlier. At this stage it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately 171 days.
