What is happening?

Essex County Council

(School Road, Kelvedon Hatch) (Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction in that length of School Road, Kelvedon Hatch in the Borough of Brentwood from its junction with Ongar Road to its junction with Luthers Close a distance of approximately 110m. 
2. The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The restriction is scheduled to commence on 28th October 2024 for 12 nights (19:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2368607 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rectory Lane, Herongate and Ingrave) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Lane, Herongate and Ingrave in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Billericay Road to its junction with Brentwood Road a distance of approximately 90m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th October 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001356950 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Billericay Road, Brentwood Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 25th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
