Welsh Court Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To New Service Connection Works
What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U70006, Welsh Court Road, Much Marcle, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U70006, Welsh Court Road, Much Marcle, outside 1-4 Welsh Court Road. Grid Ref: 364378/231107.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Gwynns Hill onto the A449, onto Rocks Place Road and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to new service connection works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 21st of October 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
