Bingham Road And Tithby Road - Prohibition of Vehicles For Waiting, Loading and Uploading For Carriageway Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council

(Bingham Road And Tithby Road, Langar) (Temporary Prohibition Of Proceeding) Order 2024 (R24-206)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Langar in the Borough of Rushcliffe The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road

a. BINGHAM ROAD, LANGAR - From its junction with Barnstone Lane to its junction with Tithby Road.

b. TITHBY ROAD, LANGAR - From its junction with A52 to its junction with Bingham Road All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Uploading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road

a. BINGHAM ROAD, LANGAR - From its junction with Barnstone Lane to its junction with Tithby Road.

b. TITHBY ROAD, LANGAR - From its junction with A52 to its junction with Bingham Road All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 20:00 hours until 06:00 hours From Friday 4th October 2024 Monday 28th October 2024 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Cropwell Road - Fern Road - Nottingham Road - A46 - A52 Bingham Bypass - Tithby Road and vice versa The Order will come into force on Friday 4th October 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.
