What is happening?

Transport for London PUBLIC NOTICE:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE A12 GLA ROAD (REDBRIDGE ROUNDABOUT, LONDON BOROUGH OF REDBRIDGE) (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable traffic signal modernisation works to take place at the roundabout (at the Junctions of A406 North Circular Road and A12 Eastern Avenue) hereafter referred to as Redbridge Roundabout.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding a speed of 30 mph on:

(1) on any part of Redbridge Roundabout;

(2) the western arm of Eastern Avenue between its junction with Redbridge Roundabout to a point 160 metres in an easterly direction;

(3) the eastern arm of Eastern Avenue between its junctions with Redbridge Roundabout and Evanston Gardens;

(4) the southbound unnamed A406 off-slip road connecting to Redbridge Roundabout for a distance of 165 metres northwards from its junction with Redbridge Roundabout;

(5) the southbound unnamed A406 on-slip road connecting to Redbridge Roundabout for a distance of 38 metres southwards from its junction with Redbridge Roundabout;

(6) the northbound unnamed A406 off-slip road connecting to Redbridge Roundabout for a distance of 211 metres southwards from its junction with Redbridge Roundabout;

(7) the northbound unnamed A406 on-slip road connecting to Redbridge Roundabout for a distance of 34 metres northwards from its junction with Redbridge Roundabout.

The Order will be effective at certain times between 8:00 PM on 7th October 2024 until 5:00 AM on 22nd November 2024 or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
