Braintree, Essex - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works
What is happening?

(Church Street/Church Hill, Kelvedon)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Street/Church Hill, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 300m north west of the junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 260m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th October 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30069546074 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree cutting works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Park Road, Church Road, Rickstones Road, Braintree Road, Collingwood Road, Newland Street, Colchester Road, A12, London Road, High Street and vice versa (with access only into Church Street, Church Hill, Holland Road and Parkgate Road).
The Order will come into effect on 3rd October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Green, White Notley in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Pole Lane for a distance of approximately 60m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd October 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC00803JULEASSP317 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via The Green, Witham Road, The Street, Church Road, Bakers Lane, London Road, London Road Roundabout, Garden Village Way, A120, A120 J B1018 Roundabout, Galley Roundabout, Cressing Road, Braintree Road, Witham Road, Cressing Road, Braintree Road, Chipping Hill, Powers Hall End, Flora Road, Faulkbourne Road, The Street, Church Hill, The Street, Witham Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 3rd October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Street, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree, from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 380m in a north westerly direction (to where the road name changes to Church Hill). The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th October 2024 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2352943 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Church Hill, Hollow Road, Parkgate Road, Western Road, Temple Lane, Witham Road, Braintree Road, Cressing Road, Cressing Road Roundabout, Galley Roundabout, A120, Bypass Link, West Street, The Gravel, Bridge Street, Grange Hill, Kelvedon Road, Coggeshall Road, Station Road, High Street and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 19th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
