LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (LOVE LANE. MITCHAM) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate pole replacement works in Love Lane, Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Love Lane, between its junction with Westfield Road and its junction with Pear Tree Close;

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in paragraph (a) above; or

(c) proceed in the north-western footway of Love Lane, between its junction with Westfield Road and the junction with Pear Tree Close.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Westfield Road and Pear Tree Close or vice^versa.

5. Pedestrian traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using the footway opposite.

6. Pedestrian access to the properties adjacent to the closed footway would be maintained at all times.

7. Nothing in the Order would apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions;

(d) to any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order would come into operation on Wednesday 16th October 2024 and it is anticipated that the works would be carried out between 8am and 5pm that day. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (BOND ROAD. MITCHAM) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate Thames Water works in Bond Road, Mitcham, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in Bond Road, from its junction with London Road westward for a distance of 68 metres; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.

3. During the works, the width restriction in Bond Road, located 13 metres south-east of No. 29 Bond Road, will be suspended and all traffic permitted.

4. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended.

5. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via London Road, Eveline Road and Plummer Lane or via London Road, Holborn Way and Western Road or vice-versa.

7. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order will come into operation on Monday 7th October 2024 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on Thursday 24th October 2024. However, the Order will remain in force for 12 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (WEST BARNES LANE. KT3) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 21 ORDER 2024

1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate railway works at the Motspur Park Level Crossing on West Barnes Lane, KT3, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. Whilst the works take place no person will:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in West Barnes Lane between a point 20 metres south-west of the Motspur Park level crossing and a point 20 metres north-east of that level crossing;

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. An alternative route for diverted vehicular traffic will be via West Barnes Lane, Claremont Avenue, Burlington Road and West Barnes Lane, or vice versa.

5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal of the Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

7. The Order will come into operation at 12.30am on Sunday 6th October 2024 and remain in force until 11 pm the same day.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON PROPOSED RAISED ENTRY TABLE - MONKLEIGH ROAD. MORDEN

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, under powers conferred by section 90A-F of the Highways Act 1980 and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, intend to introduce a raised table 75mm high with a 1:15 gradient across the full width of Monkleigh Road, Morden, from the north-eastern kerb-line of East Road eastward for a distance of 7.2 metres.

2. A plan showing the proposed raised entry table can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey.

3. Any person desiring to comment on the proposal should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof in writing to the Environment, Civic Pride and Climate Department, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/MONKLEIGHROAD no later than 18th October 2024.

PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS IN STATION ROAD. KT3 - WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND CYCLE HIRE PARKING BAY THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION)

THE MERTON (PARKING PLACES) (PEDAL CYCLES) (NO. *) ORDER 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton under the powers conferred by sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders.

2. The general effect of the "Waiting and Loading" Order would be to introduce "no waiting at any time" double yellow lines in the lengths of Station Road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice.

3. The general effect of the 'Parking Places' Order would be to designate a parking place on the carriageway at the location specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice for the leaving of pedal cycles (including electric assisted pedal cycles) and e-scooters being used in a public hire scheme operated in accordance with an agreement with the Council.

4. A copy of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including a plan which indicates the lengths of road to which the Orders relate can be inspected during the Council's normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden.

5. Any person desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Order or to the proposed raised table should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment, Civic Pride and Climate Department, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4 5DX or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting the reference ES/StationBuildouts no later than 18 October 2024.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the "Waiting and Loading" Orders would be to further amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977, the London Borough of Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Controlled Parking Zone 3E) (No. 2) Traffic Order 2007, the London Borough of Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (CPZ M1 and M2) Traffic Order 2011 and the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (MP1) (No. 1) Order 2018 so that:-

(a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for 40 minutes) would be prohibited at any time in the roads or lengths of road described in Schedule 1 to this Notice;

(b) waiting by vehicles, including for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle, would be prohibited at any time in the roads or lengths of road described in Schedule 2 to this Notice;

(c) the relevant schedules were updated to better match the waiting restrictions in:-

(i) Bishopsford Road (on-site restrictions would be unaffected except for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice)

(ii) Canterbury Road, Morden.

3. The general effect of the "Loading Bay" Order would be to formalise the existing free loading bay specified in Schedule 3 to this notice so that it operates any time, with loading / unloading limited to 40 minutes and no return for 2 hours.

4. A copy of each of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans which indicate the roads or lengths of roads to which the Orders relate, can be inspected Mondays to Fridays during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden. Documents are also available for viewing at https://www.merton.gov.uk/wr2024b1.

5.
