What is happening?

(Arlington Way, Retford) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order
2024 (Bs24-242)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Retford in the District of Bassetlaw. The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.

a. Arlington Way, Retford (Southbound) - From its junction with A620 Moorgate, to its junction with Spital Hill.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from making the following procedure in the following length of road.

a. A620 Moorgate, Retford - Left Turn into Arlington Way from A620 Moorgate.

b. A620 Amcott Way, Retford - Right Turn into Arlington Way from A620 Moorgate.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 20:00 Hours, Thursday 3rd October 2024 Until 06:00 Hours, Saturday 19th October 2024, Inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. A620 Amcott Way - Hospital Road - Babworth Road - B6420 - A1 - Markham Moor - A638The Order will come into force on Thursday 3rd October 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months)

The prohibition is required to enable Intelligent Drainage Solutions Ltd to carry out Drainage Assessment Works.
