Worcestershire - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Various Works
What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(U10500 Severn Side South, Bewdley) (Temporary Closure) and The County of Hereford and Worcester (Severn Side South, Bewdley) Various Traffic Orders 1990 (Temporary Suspension) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U10500 Severn Side South from its junction with B4190 Load Street for a distance of 130 metres in an easterly direction and to temporarily suspend The County of Hereford and Worcester (Severn Side South, Bewdley) Various Traffic Orders 1990 to allow access to residents and businesses for the duration of the Order.
Reason: New electrical cable by Western Power Distribution.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4190 Load Street, B4194 High Street, U10500 Lax Lane.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 21 October 2024.
(U13610 Dobes Lane, Chaddesley Corbett) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U13610 Dobes Lane from its junction with C2082 Fox Lane for a distance of 223 metres in a northerly direction.
Reason: Drainage and flood alleviation work by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
No access for emergency services diversion route must be followed.
Alternative route: C2082 Fox Lane, A448 Kidderminster Road, A448 Bromsgrove Road, U13610 Dobes Lane (part) and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 24 October 2024.
(U11115 Layamon Walk, Stourport on Severn) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U11115 Layamon Walk for a distance of 36 metres from its junction with U11114 Hanstone Road and for a distance of 55 metres in an easterly direction.
Reason: New dropped kerb vehicle crossing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: U11115 Layamon Walk (part), U11118 Hermitage Way and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 4 days. Commencing: 21 October 2024.
(B4194 Dowles Road, Bewdley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of B4194 Dowles Road from its junction with U10227 Dog Lane to its junction with Greenacres Lane (NSG Ref. 45700413).
Reason: New/replacement electricity cable and gas main by S & R Construction.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Please note: no access for emergency services, please use diversion route.
Alternative route: B4194 Dowles Road (part) (into Shropshire), A4117 Cleobury Road, A456 Callow Hill, A456 Long Bank, B4190 Cleobury Road, B4190 Winbrook, B4194 Dowles Road (part) and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 19 days (24hrs). Commencing: 30 September 2024.
(U12417 James Road, Kidderminster) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U12417 James Road from its junction with U12401 Hurcott Road to its junction with U12416 Batham Road.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: U12401 Hurcott Road, U12416 Batham Road and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days between 18 October 2024 and 30 October 2024.
(C2193 Gorst Hill, Kidderminster) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of C2193 Gorst Hill from its junction with U10006 Dark Lane to its junction with C2021 Bliss Gate Road.
Reason: Drainage and flood alleviation work by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2193 Gorst Hill (part), C2021 Bliss Gate Road, A456 Callow Hill, A456 Tenbury Road, C2193 Pound Lane, C2193 Gorst Hill (part) and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 30 September 2024.
(U11354 Engine Lane, Stourport on Severn) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U11354 Engine Lane from its junction with A451 Bridge Street for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.
Reason: Safe working for remedial works to side elevation of Bridge Street by WFDC (Private Sector Housing).
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Access to Starline Narrowboats and Stourport Yacht Club will be via pedestrian access from Engine Lane towpath leading to Severn Side Road. Parking for users of Starline Narrowboats and Stourport Yacht Club is available on Bridge Street carpark.
Alternative route: No diversion as no through road. Diversion for pedestrians is via Stourport Yacht Club.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 22 October 2024.
(C2131 Ranters Bank, Rock) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of C2131 Ranters Bank from its junction with A4117 Cleobury Road for a distance of 175 meters in a south westerly direction along Ranters Bank.
Reason: Kerbing to prevent flooding by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
No access for emergency services diversion route must be followed.
Alternative route: A4117 Cleobury Road, A456 Tenbury Road, C2196 Buckeridge Lane, C2131 Ranters Bank (part) and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 26 September 2024.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended)
(Footpath BW-519, Bewdley)(Temporary Closure Order) 2024
Proposed Order: To close Footpath BW-519, Bewdley for its entire length.
The Order has been made to install gas and electricity supplies to new housing.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises having a frontage to the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the necessary works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: Footway of B4194 Dowles Road, U10230 Dowles Rise, Footpath BW-529, U10231 Venus Bank to U10202 Richmond Road, Footpath BW-527, U10202 Richmond Road and vice versa. The proposed Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the Order will only be operative for 6 months commencing: 21 October 2024.
