What is happening?

WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Barnfield Rd, Woolston (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Barnfield Rd from its jct. with Hall Rd to its jct. with Austral Ave. The Order will be effective from 19th October 2024 for 2 days. The alternative route will be via Hall Rd, Rosedale Ave, Oakdene Ave & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to install a new customer connection. Ref: 11110828

Greystone Rd, Penketh (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Greystone Rd from its jct. with Meeting Ln to its jct. with Honiton Way. The Order will be effective from 21st October 2024 for 1 day. The alternative route will be via Honiton Way, Jubilee Ave, Meeting Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Openreach to install a new telecom pole. Ref: 11121428

A5061 Knutsford Rd & Wash Ln (Prohibition of Driving, Clearway & 20 MPH Speed Limit) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is as follows: Prohibition of Driving: Wash Ln (northbound only)

from Prescott St to Knutsford Rd; Clearway: Wash Ln from Prescott St to Knutsford Rd; Knutsford Rd (westbound) from Wash Ln to Black Bear Bridge; 20mph Speed Limit:

Knutsford Rd (westbound) from Wash Ln to Black Bear Bridge. The Order will be effective from 14th October 2024 for 4 weeks, between 9:30am & 3pm. The alternative route will be via Station Rd, Grammar School Rd & Knutsford Rd. The restrictions are required for footway surfacing & dropped pedestrian crossing improvements. Ref: 7834626

Church Ln, Grappenhall (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) (Autumn) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway on Church Ln from its jct. with Broad Ln to its jct. with Glebe Ave. The Order will be effective from 26th October 2024 for 2 weeks. The closure will be in place for 24 hours when needed during school half term & between 9am to 2:30pm during term time. The alternative route will be via Church Ln, A56 Chester Rd, A50 Knutsford Rd, Bellhouse Ln & vice versa or via Broad Ln, Grappenhall Ln, A50 Cliff Ln, A50 Knutsford Rd, Bellhouse Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow continuing works to Heritage Area reconstructing & relaying cobbled road surface. Ref: 9831788

Public Footpath Nos. 1n & 3a, Winwick (Footpath Closure) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is to introduce a footpath closure on: Public Footpath No. 3a, Winwick running from its jct. with the roundabout at jct. 22 of the M6 in a south-easterly direction to its jct. with Public Footpath No. 3c, Winwick; Public Footpath No. 1n, Winwick for its entire length. The Order will be effective from 1st October 2024 for 6 months. No alternative route is available. The closures are required to allow Balfour Beatty to carry out urgent works around jct. 22 of the M6. Ref: 11152260

Long Ln & A49 Winwick Rd (20 MPH Speed Limit) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is to introduce a 20 miles per hour speed limit restriction as follows: Long Ln from Fisher Ave to the A49 Winwick Rd; A49 Winwick Rd from its jct. with Long Ln to Pinners Brow Roundabout. The Order will be effective from 30th September 2024 for 18 months. The restrictions are required to assist with the BSIP Scheme. Ref: 1118828

Various Rd's in Orford (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Entire lengths of road: Hughes Ave; Dorothea St; Dudley St; Halsall Ave; Hunter Ave; Roscoe Ave; Warren Rd; Part lengths of road: Mortimer Ave from the jct. with Lathom Ave to the jct. with West Ave; Dudley St full length of rear alleyway to Nos. 4 to 74; Hale St from the jct. with Longford St to the jct. with Fitzherbert St; Neville Ave from the jct. with Park Rd to adj. to No. 160; Neville Ave from the jct. with Park Rd to adj. to No. 32; Sandy Ln from the dead end adj. to No. 74 to the jct. with Tennyson Dr. The Order will be effective from 7th October 2024 for 9 weeks, between 8:30am & 5:30pm. The alternative route will be: Hughes Ave via Festival Ave, Capesthorne Rd, Caldbeck Ave & vice versa; Mortimer Ave via Alder Ln, South Ave, West Ave & vice versa; Dorothea St via Longford St, Cowdell St, Fitzherbert St & vice versa; Dudley St via Orford Ln, Longford St, Earl St & vice versa; Hale St via Longford St, Dorothea St, West Ave & vice versa; Halsall Ave via Withers Ave, Stapleton Ave, Smith Dr & vice versa; Hunter Ave via Gough Ave, Poole Ave, Locker Ave, Crowe Ave, Sandy Ln, St. Stephen's Ave & vice versa; Neville Ave via Park Rd, Capesthorne Rd & vice versa; Neville Ave via Bruce Ave, Park Rd & vice versa; Roscoe Ave via Smith Dr, Lyndale Ave, Hallows Ave & vice versa; Warren Rd via Park Rd, Capesthorne Rd, Birtles Rd & vice versa. The restrictions are required for road or footway surfacing. Ref: 7833425

Cotswold Rd, Chiltern Rd & Pickering Cres (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Cotswold Rd from its jct. with Poplars Ave to its jct. with Cheviot Ave; Chiltern Rd from its jct. with Cotswold Rd to its jct. Lancing Ave; Pickering Cres from its jct. with Stanton Rd to its jct. with Woodlands Dr. The Order will be effective on 1st October 2024 for Pickering Cres & 6th October 2024 for Cotswold Rd/Chiltern Rd. The alternative routes will be as follows: Cotswold Rd via Poplars Ave, Cleveland Rd & vice versa; Chiltern Rd via Chiltern Rd, Sandy Ln West & vice versa; Pickering Cres via Stanton Rd, Woodland Dr & vice versa. The closures are required to allow filming to take place. Ref: 11266254

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
