What is happening?

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL NORTHWICH TOWN CENTRE (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council propose to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers.

1. The effect of the order will be to introduce a reduced speed limit the roads mentioned in the schedule below. Full details showing the proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a map showing the affected area; the Council's statement of reasons for making the order and a copy of this notice, may be examined. If people wish to view further details of the PTRO they should email the area highways team at highways@cheshirewest.gov.uk.

2. All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made, to the undersigned quoting reference PTRO 789 by 21/10/2024.

SCHEDULE 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT

Queens Street - From A5509 Chester Way to Dock Road.

Dock Road - From Queens Street to A533 London Road.

Hayhurst Close - From Queen Street to the limits of the adopted highway.

Weir Street - From A533 London Road to the limits of the adopted highway.

The Crescent - From A533 London Road to the limits of the adopted highway.

Holland's Road - From A533 London Road to the limits of the adopted highway.

Webb's Court - From Holland's Road to the limits of the adopted highway.

Access to Anderton Grange - From Holland's Road to the limits of the adopted highway.

Water Street - From A533 London Road to the limits of the adopted highway.

Waterbank Row - From Water Street to the limits of the adopted highway.

Drillfield Road - From Water Street to the limits of the adopted highway.
