Sevenoaks, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

Bower Lane, Eynsford, DA4 0HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Lane, Eynsford, on or after 7th October 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near number 26.

The alternative route is via Bower Lane, Birchin Cross Road, Row Dow, Pilgrims Way East, A225 Shoreham Road/Station Road/High Street and vice versa.

 

Brocas Road, Hever, TN8 7LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of urgent carriageway repairs, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Brocas Road, Hever, on or after 8th October 2024 for up to 1 day between 07:30hrs and 16:00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

The alternative route is via Hever Road, New House Farm Road, Newhouse Farm Lane and vice versa.

 

Grove Road, Penshurst, TN11 8DU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of carriageway repairs, Kent County Council has make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Grove Road, Penshurst, on or after 7th October 2024 for up to 1 day between 07.30hrs and 16.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

The alternative route is via B2188 Fordcombe Road, Smarts Hill, Coldharbour Road, Finch Green,  Grove Road and vice versa.

 

Hilders Lane, Edenbridge, TN8 6LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of SGN works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hilders Lane, Edenbridge, on or after 24th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hilder Farmhouse.

The alternative route is via Hilders Lane, B2026 Main Road/Station Road/Mont St Aignan Way, Stangrove Road, Crouch House Road, Little Browns Lane and vice versa.

 

Horton Road, Horton Kirby, DA4 9DG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of the refreshment of centre lines, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Horton Road, Horton Kirby, on or after 11th October 2024 for up to 1 evening between 19:00hrs and 23:59hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Bull Hill to 20m past Jacobs Lane.

The alternative route is via The Street, Forge Lane, Jacobs Lane and vice versa.

 

Mussenden Lane, Horton Kirby, DA4 9JW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mussenden Lane, Horton Kirby, on or after 21st October 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Mussenden Cottage and Bluebell Cottage.

The alternative route is via Lombard Street, School Lane, Three Gates Road and vice versa.

 

Nightingale Lane, Ide Hill, TN14 6BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nightingale Lane, Ide Hill, on or after 23rd October 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Crossways and Beech Grove.

The alternative route is via B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill Roundabout To Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill Roundabout, Sundridge Road, Little Norman Street, Nightingale Lane and vice versa.

 

Sandfield Road, Penshurst, TN11 8HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Sandfield Road, Penshurst, on or after 9th October 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

The alternative route is via B2188 Saints Hill, Smarts Hill, Nunnery Lane and vice versa.

 

Saxon Place, Horton Kirby, DA4 9JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Saxon Place, Horton Kirby, on or after 21st October 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 35.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

 

Scabharbour Road, Sevenoaks Weald, TN14 6NL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of UK Power Networks, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Scabharbour Road, Sevenoaks Weald, on or after 7th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed works outside Pitts Farm.

The alternative route is via Scabharbour Road, Philpots Lane, Watts Cross Road, B245 London Road, A225 Weald Interchange, Morleys Road and vice versa.

 

Yorks Hill, Ide Hill  TN14 6HY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Kent County Council has made an Order for the safety of the public whilst an event is being held on the highway to temporarily prohibit the use of Vehicles on:-

Yorks Hill, Ide Hill from Gracious Lane to outside Yorks Hill Farm.

The alternative route is via Gracious Lane, B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill/Ide Hill Road and Scallops.

The Order will become effective on 13th October 2024 between 08.00hrs and 13.00hrs. The restrictions/prohibitions specified in this notice will apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs in operation.

Nothing in the Order will apply to:

•  Any Vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes, Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services.

•  Anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in connection with an emergency repair.

•  Anything done with the permission or at the direction of Event Organisers or a Police Constable in Uniform.
