What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) THE WALTHAM FOREST (TW MAINS REPLACEMENT) (E4 REGION) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024
The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 26th September 2024 it made an Order to allow for the replacement of mains by Thames Water, to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in the E4 region. The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in:
(i) Carbis Close E4 - between its junction with Station Road and the south facing wall of No. 4 Jubilee Villas
(ii) the access road leading to Chingford Assembly Hall and Library The general effect of the Order will also be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding for any purpose, at any time, in the footpath between Station Road E4 and The Green E4.
Note: The closure along the said footpath would occur in phases, with lengths of each section of the closure indicated by signage. The Order will come into operation on 30th September 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner.
The works are expected to be completed within 2 months, but additional time is required for contingencies. (Ref: TT53(24))
THE WALTHAM FOREST (WATER MAINS REPLACEMENT) (E17 ROADS) (TEMPORARY MEASURES) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024
The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 26th September 2024 it made an Order to enable water-mains & supply pipe replacement works by Thames Water, to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in various road within the E17 region
The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles (except works vehicles) from entering, proceeding, waiting or oading for any purpose, at any time, in the roads mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice.
Whilst works are being carried out and only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load for any purpose, at any time, within 15 metres of the junction of any road adjoining the roads mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice. Whilst works are being carried out and only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed any one-way working or no-entry prohibitions in any roads or parts of roads mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice, or in any roads or parts of roads adjoining the roads or parts of roads mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice would be temporarily suspended The Order will come into operation on 5th October 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner (this applies to all roads mentioned in the Schedule and allows for unforeseen constraints which may abort works until a future time) and The Waltham Forest (Various Roads) (Water-Main Replacement) (Road Closures) (No. 1) Order 2023 wil be revoked in its entirety. THE WALTHAM FOREST (HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION) (VARIOUS ROADS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MEASURES) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 26th September 2024 the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest made an Order to allow for construction works on the highway to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in various road within the said borough
The general effect of the oder will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, or, covered, to prohibit any vehicle from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading in any carriageway of William Morris Close E17 and in Wadley Road E11.
The Order will come into operation on 30th September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Ref: TT61(24))
THE WALTHAM FOREST (THAMES WATER INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE) (TEMPORARY MEASURES) (E10 AND E4 ROADS) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024
The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for the installation and maintenance of Thames Water infrastructure to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in roads within the E10 and E4 regions.
The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in
i) Alexandra Road E10 - between the common boundaries of Nos. 4/6 and of Nos. 14/16
ii) Buxton Road E4 - between its junction with Station Road and the rear boundary of 62 Station Road
iii) Manor Road E10 - between its junction with Lea Bridge Road
(LBR) and the northwest facing wall of No. 458 LBR. Whilst the restrictions referred to in paragraph 2(i) above remain in force, the no-entry restriction and one-way in Alexandra Road E10 would be suspended.
Whilst the restrictions referred to in paragraph 2(iii) above remain in force,
i) the one-way working in Manor Road E10 (MNR) (the section north of Capworth Street) would be suspended;
ii) waiting or loading by vehicles would be prohibited between the northwest facing wall of No. 458 LBR and the common boundary of Nos. 147/149 MNR
The Order would come into operation on 21st October 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
NOTE: These works would not occur simultaneously in all roads.
The works in Alexandra Road are expected to be completed within
5 days, in Buxton Road within 2 days, and in Manor Road within
3 days however the Order has been extended to allow for any
contingencies. (Ref: TT62(24))
Vehicles waiting or loading in disregard of the aforementioned Orders would be removed.
The prohibitions mentioned in all notices above would not apply in relation to any pedestrians or any vehicle being used in connection with the said works; or for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow).
Any designated controlled parking spaces situated in the roads or parts of roads affected by any of the measures set out in the notices above will be suspended.
Signage will be placed in advance of any works in the roads mentioned in the aforementioned notices which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the prohibitions, effects of any temporary traffic management and diversion routes as necessary.
