Westmorland & Furness, Temporary Road Closures Due To Carriageway Resurfacing Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO. 15) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule. Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.

Phased works will not necessarily be done in numerical order.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 1st October 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 2 weeks and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

3. A593 near Torver - Approx. duration 16 days (Ref: TTROW/11658) From a point approx. 3.2km south west of its junction with A5084 extending in a south westerly direction for a distance approx. 2.6km.

Alternative Route: via the unrestrcited sections of A593, A595, A5092 and A5084.

4. A5092 Beanthwaite Hill, Grizebeck - Approx. 16 days (Ref: TTROW/11659) From its junction with A592 extending in a south easterly direction for a distance approx. 800m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of A5092 (Greenodd), A590 (Dalton-in-Furness) and A595.

5. C5084 Greenber Lane, Casterton - Approx. duration 16 days (Ref: TTROW/11660) From its junction with Flush Brow extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with the A683. Alternative Route: via the A683 and Flush Brow.

6. A683 near Sedbergh - Approx. duration 16 days (Ref: TTROW/11661) From a point approx. 420m north east of its junction with B6256 extending in a north easterly direction for a distance approx. 310m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the A683, A684 and B6256.

7. U5629 Crosscrake near Sedbergh - Approx. duration 16 days (Ref:TTROW/11663) From a point approx. 790 m south west of its junction with A65 extending in a preominately southerly direction for a distance approx. 440m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of U5629, C5074 and A65.

8. U5615 Lowgate, Levens - Approx. duration 16 days (Ref: TTROW/11665) From its junction with Levens Lane extending in a south westerly direction for a distance approx. 440 m.

9. Main Street, Levens - Approx. duration 16 days (Ref: TTROW/11666) From its junction with Lowgate extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with Levens Lane.
