What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of West Buckland Temporary Closure of Calways Lane and Gerbestone Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Calways Lane - from the junction with Gerbestone Road to the junction with West Buckland Road; and Gerbestone Road - from the junction with Catts Lane, southwards for a distance of 589 metres. A total distance of 754 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out tree cutting works.

The Order becomes effective on 10th October 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 14th October 2024 and last until 18th October 2024 between the hours of 09:30 -15:30 for a total of 5 days.
