What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH STEVENAGE 17

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Stevenage 17, heading north and east from junction with Bridleway 17 toward junction with Stevenage 23, for an approximate distance of 450m.

Alternative route: via Stevenage 23 and Stevenage 18

The purpose of the Order is to enable drainage works to take place.

The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 02 October

2024 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SPRINGHEAD, ASHWELL) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Springhead, Ashwell from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.4 Springhead north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Springhead, High Street, Gardiners Lane, Swan Street, Mill Street and Springhead. The Order is needed because sewer repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUCKLERSBURY, HITCHIN) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bucklersbury, Hitchin from its junction with Tilehouse Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Tilehouse Street, Bridge Street, B656 Queen Street, Hermitage Road, Bancroft and High Street. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COREYS MILL LANE AND THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON SOUTH SIDE OF COREYS MILL LANE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage from its junction with the A602 Hitchin Road/Ingleside Drive roundabout north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 330m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via A602 Hitchin Road, B197 (Graveley Road/North Road) and Coreys Mill Lane.

2. To prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on south side of Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage from a point 50m north east of its junction with the subway situated beneath A602 Hitchin Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m ("the Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the cycle track situated on the south side of Coreys Mill Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road and Footpath. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 October 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BENDISH LANE, WHITWELL) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bendish Lane, Whitwell from its junction with Lilley Bottom Road south westwards to its junction with Cresswick, a distance of approximately 67m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Lilley Bottom Road, Law Hall Lane, C27 (unnamed road) and Bendish Lane. The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED TO THE REAR OF NOS.83-99 SWANSTAND AND THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.21 AND NO.22 TOWNLEY, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpaths"):-

1. the footpath situated to the rear of Nos.83-99 Swanstand, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Radburn Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 224m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north west side of Radburn Way, the footpath situated to the rear of Nos.57-71 Townley and the footpath situated on the north west side of Nos.48-56 Townley.

2. the footpath situated between No.21 and No.22 Townley, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Townley north eastwards for a distance of approximately 84m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north east side of Townley and the footway situated on the north west side of Radburn Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 September 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths. (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE EXISTING 7.5 TONNES WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON A507 CLOTHALL ROAD, BALDOCK/CLOTHALL, A505 (UNNAMED ROAD), RUSHDEN

AND A505 BALDOCK ROAD, RUSHDEN/COTTERED) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to temporarily suspend the existing 7.5 tonnes weight restriction on that length of A507 Clothall Road, Baldock/Clothall, A505 (unnamed road), Rushden and A505 Baldock Road, Rushden/Cottered from its northernmost junction with B656 Royston Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, eastwards and south westwards to its junction with the A10 Buntingford Bypass/ B1038 Baldock Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 13115m ("the length of Roads") to enable all vehicles to use this length of roads whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BASSUS GREEN, WALKERN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bassus Green, Walkern from its junction with Walkern Bury Lane south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Clay End Road, a distance of approximately 1160m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Bassus Green and Clay End Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
