What is happening?

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

(50MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO.1) ORDER 2024

A650 SIR FRED HOYLE WAY, BINGLEY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made the above Order on 26th day of September 2024 under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the general effect of which will be to introduce a 50 miles per hour Speed Limit on the following lengths of roads: -

i. 'A650 Sir Fred Hoyle Way, Bingley' - for a distance of 4300 metres southeast from the centre of the roundabout forming its junction with the A650 Aire Valley Road.

The Order comes into force on 30th day of September 2024 and a copy of the Order together with a map showing the affected roads may be examined during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, City Hall, Bradford, BD1 and Keighley Town Hall or examined on the council web site at

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made 26th day of September 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
