What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TANNERY DRIFT, ROYSTON) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Tannery Drift, Royston from its junction
with Baldock Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 51m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Baldock Road, Baldock Street, Lower King Street, Kneesworth Street and Green Drift or via Green Drift, Kneesworth Street, Baldock Street and Baldock Road.
The Order is needed because telecom maintenance works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However
the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN REED END, THERFIELD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Reed End, Therfield from its junction with Dane End eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and eastwards to its junction with A10 London Road, a distance of approximately 1146m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Dane End, Rooks Nest Lane, Five House Lane to Whiteley Lane, Whiteley Lane and A10 (Ermine Street/London Road).
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be
executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on
1 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However
the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times
indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN KINGSLAND WAY, ASHWELL/C5 (UNNAMED ROAD), SLIP END) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kingsland Way, Ashwell/C5 (unnamed road), Slip End from its junction with Ashwell Street south eastwards to its junction with A505 Royston Road, a distance of approximately 3243m ("the length of Roads"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Ashwell Street, Claybush Road, Ashwell Road, Bygrave Road, A507 Station Road, B656 (Royston Road/Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road) and A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road) or via Kingsland Way, High Street, Lucas Lane, Station Road, A505 Baldock Road, the A505 Baldock Road/A505 Royston Road roundabout and A505 (Baldock Road/Royston Road). ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1039 BARKWAY ROAD, ROYSTON) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1039 Barkway Road, Royston from its junction with Shaftesbury Way south eastwards for a distance of approximately 468m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via B1039 Barkway Road, A10 (Barkway Street/Market Hill/Priory Lane/Melbourn Road),
A505 (Royston Road/Newmarket Road), B1369 (Barley Road/Cambridge Road) and B1039 Royston Road or via B1039 Royston Road, B1369 (Cambridge Road/Barley Road), A505 (Newmarket Road/Royston Bypass), A10(Melbourn Road/Priory Lane) and B1039 Barkway Road.
The Order is needed because excavation works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However
the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
