What is happening?
(C116N MONIAIVE – GARRIESON)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) No. 2 ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C116n from its junction with B729 to the junction of Boreland Farm, Dunscore from 0800 on 07/10/2024 to 1800 on 17/06/2025. The closure is necessary to facilitate Scottish Water main repairs. Alternative route available via B729, C37n, C116n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(VARIOUS ROADS, GEORGETOWN) (30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMITS) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council propose to make this Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general effect of the Order will be to make it unlawful to drive a motor vehicle at speed exceeding 30 miles per hour along the lengths of road detailed in the schedule to the Order. Full details of the draft Order may be inspected between 27/09/2024 and 18/10/2024 online at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk or by arrangement (Tel – 030 33 33 3000). Objectors must state their reasons in writing to Natalie McKail, Assistant Director Transport and Infrastructure, Economy and Infrastructure, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Militia House, English Street, Dumfries, DG1 2HR, to be received by 18 October 2024.
