Various Locations, Woodthorpe - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Gas Mains Replacement Works

(Various Locations, Woodthorpe) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (G24-129)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Woodthorpe in the Borough of Gedling
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Woodthorpe Drive, Woodthorpe - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in an easterly direction for 170 metres.
b. Villiers Road, Woodthorpe - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in an easterly direction for 40 metres.
c. Albemare Road, Woodthorpe - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in an easterly direction for 60 metres.
d. Marlborough Road, Woodthorpe - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in an easterly direction for 50 metres.
e. Egerton Road, Woodthorpe - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in an easterly direction for 40 metres.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road:
a. Woodthorpe Drive, Woodthorpe - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in an easterly direction for 170 metres.
b. Villiers Road, Woodthorpe - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in an easterly direction for 40 metres.
c. Albemare Road, Woodthorpe - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in an easterly direction for 60 metres.
d. Marlborough Road, Woodthorpe - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in an easterly direction for 50 metres.
e. Egerton Road, Woodthorpe - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in an easterly direction for 40 metres
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours Monday 30th September 2024
Until 18:00 hours Sunday 2nd March 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Woodthorpe Drive, Woodthorpe - A60 Mansfield Road - A6211 Thackerays Lane - Breck Hill Road - B684 Woodborough Road - Woodthorpe Drive and vice versa
b. Villiers Road, Woodthorpe - A60 Mansfield Road - Egerton Road - Woodthorpe Avenue and vice versa.
c. Albemare Road, Woodthorpe - A60 Mansfield Road - Egerton Road - Woodthorpe Avenue and vice versa.
d. Marlborough Road, Woodthorpe - A60 Mansfield Road - A6211 Thackerays Lane - Knighton Road - A60 Mansfield Road - Woodthorpe Drive - Woodthorpe Avenue and vice versa.
e. Egerton Road, Woodthorpe - A60 Mansfield Road - A6211 Thackerays Lane - Knighton Road - Marlborough Road - Woodthorpe Avenue
The Order will come into force on 30th September 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent to carry out gas mains replacement works
