TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE U48009 GRANGE ROAD, NORTHWAY (ASHCHURCH RURAL PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U48009 Grange Road, Northway from its junction with the Railway Level Crossing to a point 850 metres east of the Railway Line for a total distance of approximately 850 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for Railway Barrier works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 21:00hrs on the 28th September 2024 until 04:00hrs on the 30th September 2024 only or until the works have been completed.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE U47812 STANTON ROAD (TEWKESBURY TOWN) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U47812 Stanton Road from its junction with Bramley Road to outside the property known as ‘No. 8 Stanton Road’ for a total distance of approximately 53 metres.

The reason for the closure is for public safety whilst a crane is utilised for works at an adjacent property.

Alternative Route – as signed on site. Pedestrian access and emergency access will not be maintained for safety reasons as the crane will block the carriageway and footway.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATHS GNE 118, GNE 124, GNE 125, GNE 127 AND GRU 4 (NEWENT TOWN AND RUDFORD & HIGHLEADON PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) Public Footpaths GNE 118, GNE 124, GNE 125, GNE 127 AND GRU 4 as detailed in the schedule below.

Part of Public Footpath GNE 118 from a point extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 670 metres to its junction with Public Footpath GNE 119.

Part of Public Footpath GNE 124 from its junction with GNE 118 extending in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 480 metres to its junction with Public Footpath GNE.

Part of Public Footpath GNE 127 from its junction with GNE 126 extending in a generally easterly direction for approximately 200 metres to its junction with Public Footpath GNE

Part of Public Footpath GNE 125 from its junction with GNE 124 extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 170 metres to its junction with Public Footpath GNE.

Part of Public Footpath GRU 4 from a point extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 200 metres.

The paths fall within the Town of Newent and the Parish of Rudford & Highleadon in the Forest of Dean District, Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to protect the public while works relating to the construction of a solar farms grid route is completed.

The Order will come into force on the 4th October 2024 and the Public Footpaths are expected to remain closed until 31st October 2024 or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner.

However the Order can continue in force for up to six months. After this date, if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.

Alternative route: as signed on Order Plan. Pedestrian access to adjoining properties and emergency access will be maintained for the duration of the works. Date: 26th September 2024.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF A40 LONDON ROAD (CHARLTON KINGS PARISH) CHELTENHAM BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of A40 London Road from outside the property known as ‘Millbrook House’ to outside the property known as ‘Number 314 London Road’ for a distance of approximately 42 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for drainage investigation works.

The said road is expected to be closed each day between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 from 30th September 2024 until 4th October 2024 only or until the works are complete.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U40345 Church Lane from its junction with Tewkesbury Road to outside the property known as ‘School House’ for a total distance of approximately 270 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for electricity cabling installation works by National Grid.
