NOTICE OF PROPOSALS CITY OF EXETER (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2014 (AMENDMENT NO.7) 2024

Notice is hereby given that Exeter City Council proposes to make the above mentioned Amendment Order under Section 35 and 
Part IV of Schedule 9 and Schedule 10 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers.
The general nature and effect of the Order is as follows:

a) Amend the opening and closing hours at the John Lewis car park to 8.00am - midnight;
b) Re-introduce the 1hr charging fee (£2.00 on Monday-Saturday, £1.80 on Sunday) in Zone 2 car parks that are located within the City Centre: Belmont Road Car Park, Bystock Terrace Car Park, Cathedral & Quay Car Park, Parr Street Car Park, and Richmond Road Car Park;
c) Change the cost of seasonal, residential, and business parking permits as set out below;
d) Add the following new car parks to the Parking Places Order:
 a. Central Zone
 i. Paris Street Car Park (Old Bus Station site)
 b. Zone 3
 i. Pinhoe Railway Station Car Park;
 ii. Riverside Leisure Centre; (Free for Exeter Leisure Members whilst using the Centre)
 iii. Wonford Sports Centre, free for the first 3hrs (Free for Exeter Leisure Members whilst using the Centre);
 iv. Exeter Arena Sports Centre, free for the first 3hrs (Free for Exeter Leisure Members whilst using the Centre).
e) Change car parking charges for all car parks from Monday-Saturday and for coaches on all days as set out below: Central Car Parks - Bampfylde Street, Guildhall, John Lewis, King William Street, Magdalen Road, Magdalen Street, Mary Arches Street Car Park, Princesshay 2, Princesshay 3, Smythen Street, Paris Street

Zone 3 - Bromhams Farm, Exeter Arena, Flowerpot Lane, Gordons Place, Haven Banks Two, Haven Banks Three, Holman Way, Okehampton Street, Tappers Close, Turf Approach, Pinhoe Railway Station, Riverside Leisure Centre, Station Road (Exwick), Wonford Sports Centre. Existing maximum stay restrictions and free parking periods (where appropriate) will remain.
 6 hour maximum waiting restriction (no return within 3 hours) will also apply at the following new car parks: Exeter Arena, Riverside Leisure Centre, Wonford Sports Centre
Initial 3 hours of free parking will apply to Exeter Arena and Wonford Sports Centre car parks.

Amendment Order and a plan showing the location of the car parks may be inspected at the Customer Services Centre at the address below

All objections and any other representations relating to the proposed amendment order must be made in writing. All objections must 
specify the grounds on which they are made. All objections and representations must be sent to the address below or submitted by email to 
carparks@exeter.gov.uk and to be received not later than 10th November 2024.
