Suffolk - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTWAY F0938
FROM THORNEY ROAD TO GARRODS, CAPEL ST MARY
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footway F0938 from Thorney Road to Garrods, Capel St Mary from Thorney Road to no. 25 Barnfield Close to facilitate fibre ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route will be Winding Piece, Thorney Road, the footway from no 72 Thomey Road to no 2 Garrods and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/08/2024 -06/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C442 SPROUGHTON ROAD,
IPSWICH AND SPROUGHTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the
• C442 Sproughton Road, Ipswich from Europa Way to Sprougnton Road, Sproughton
• C442 Sproughton Road, Sproughton from Sproughton Road, Ipswich for 30 metres south westbound.
This is to facilitate cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Sproughton Road. Yaimouth Road, London Road, the road from Copdock Mill Interchange to London Road, the A14, Sproughton Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 9pm on 25/09/2024 - 6am on 26/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Sunbelt Rentals. Tel: 0370 050 0792.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2426 ALAN ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2426 Alan Road, Ipswich from Felixstowe Road to Nacton Road to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Felixstowe Road, Salisbury Road, Nacton Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 25/09/2024 - 27/09/2024 from 9am - 4.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1117 NEW STREET, STRADBROKE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1117 New Street, Stradbroke from 120 metres southwest of New Street Close for 30 metres south westbound to facilitate the replacement of a stop tap and the installation of a water meter. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1117, the A140, the B1118 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 25709/2024 from 10am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1304 LOW ROAD, BRAMPTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U1304 Low Road, Brampton from the junction with Molls Lane for 150 metres westbound to facilitate the replacement of a telegraph pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Street, the A145 London Road. Station Road, Locks Road, Low Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 25/09/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U8541 HUNTINGFIELD ROAD,
U8542 PEMBROKE ROAD AND THE U8543 MANDERVILLE ROAD,
BURY ST EDMUNDS
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
• the U8541 Huntingfield Road Bury St Edmunds.
• the U8542 Pembroke Road, Bury St Edmunds.
• the U8543 Manderville Road, Bury St Edmunds.
This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Glastonbury Road, Flemying Road, Abbot Road, Winthrop Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/10/2024 - 11/10/2024 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
