Lochend Road area, Leith - Temporary Road Restriction and Traffic Regulation

(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION)
ORDER 2024 – TEMP/24/87

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate footway improvement works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on: (i) Burns St, at its jnct with Lochend Rd; (ii) Hermitage Park, at its jnct with Lochend Rd; (iii) Hermitage Park Grv, at its jnct with Lochend Rd; (iv) Lochend Rd, from Vanburgh Pl to Hermitage Park Grv; (v) Primrose St, at its jnct with Lochend Rd; (vi) Restalrig Ter, at its jnct with Lochend Rd; & (vii) Woodville Ter, at its jnct with Lochend Rd, provided that no more than one of the measures described in this section shall be enacted at any time; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on: (i) Burns St, both sides, from its jnct with Lochend Rd, eastwards for 50m; (ii) Hermitage Park, both sides, from its jnct with Lochend Rd, eastwards for 50m; (iii) Hermitage Park Grv, both sides, from its jnct with Lochend Rd, eastwards for 50m; (iv) Lochend Rd, both sides, from Vanburgh Pl to Hermitage Park Grv; (v) Primrose St, both sides, from its jnct with Lochend Rd, eastwards for 50m; (vi) Restalrig Ter, both sides, from its jnct with Lochend Rd, eastwards for 50m; (vii) Vanburgh Pl, sth side, from its jnct with Lochend Rd, eastwards & south-westwards for 50m respectively; & (viii) Woodville Ter, both sides, from its jnct with Lochend Rd, eastwards for 50m. Existing restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in (b). The alternative route for vehicular traffic with respect to the closure of Lochend Rd is via Sleigh Drv, Restalrig Rd Sth, Restalrig Rd, East Hermitage Pl, Hermitage Pl & Vanburgh Pl. Local access will be maintained on the following roads:

(i) Burns St; (ii) Hermitage Park; (iii) Hermitage Park Grv; (iv) Primrose St; (v) Restalrig Ter; & (vi) Woodville Ter.

The order shall have effect from 30/09/24 to 14/02/25.
