What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Various Roads, Little Easton)

(30mph Speed Limit) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that, further to Notices on 28 March 2024, and 16 May 2024 the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2), and Parts IV and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)

Effect of the order: To Extend: a '30mph Speed Limit' (Currently a 40mph Speed Limit) on the following lengths of road, Little Easton, in the District of Uttlesford.

Road: Duck Street, Little Easton

Description: From a point approximately 63 metres west of Public Little Easton Footpath No.26, (the current 30mph terminal point) eastwards for approximately 402 metres.

The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Little Easton) (30MPH & 40MPH Speed Limit) Order 2018' is hereby revoked in its entirety. The restrictions contained within that Order shall continue in force by virtue of this new Order.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1),45, 46, 49, 53, and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: 1. To Implement: 'No Waiting at Any Time' Restrictions

BOTH SIDES:

(i) From a point in line with the northern kerb line of Suffolk Place, north for approximately 15 metres.

(ii) From a point in line with the southern kerb line of Suffolk Place, south for approximately 12 metres.

WEST SIDE: From a point approximately 15 metres south of the southern kerb line of Seversend Drive, north for approximately 36 metres.

EAST SIDE:

(i) From a point in line with the northern kerb line of Seversend Drive, north for approximately 13 metres.

(ii) From a point in line with the southern kerb line of Seversend Drive, south for approximately 15 metres.

WEST SIDE: From a point approximately 15 metres south of the southern kerb line of Leverett Way Link Road, north for approximately 35 metres.

EAST SIDE:

(i) From a point in line with the northern kerb line of Leverett Way Link Road, north for approximately 13 metres.

(ii) From a point in line with the southern kerb line of Leverett Way Link Road, south for approximately 15 metres.

NORTH SIDE: From a point approximately 10 metres west of the western kerb line of Eddystone Avenue, east for approximately 36 metres.

SOUTH SIDE:

(i) From a point in line with the eastern kerb line of Eddystone Avenue, east for approximately 15 metres.

(ii) From a point in line with the western kerb line of Eddystone Avenue, west for approximately 15 metres.

BOTH SIDES: From its junction with Leverett Way south for approximately 15 metres.

Leverett Way Junction 8 (J8)

Fairfax Drive

WEST SIDE: From a point approximately 19 metres north of the northern kerb line of Fairfax Drive, south/southwest for approximately 34 metres.

EAST SIDE:

(i) From a point in line with the northern kerb line of Fairfax Drive north for approximately 17 metres.

(ii) From a point in line with the southern kerb line of Fairfax Drive, south for approximately 10 metres.

Fairfax Drive (J8)

NORTH SIDE: From its junction with Leverett Way east for approximately 6 metres.

SOUTH SIDE: From its junction with Leverett Way east for approximately 17 metres.

Griffin Place

NORTH SIDE: From its junction with Fairfax Drive, east for approximately 13 metres.

SOUTH SIDE: From its junction with Fairfax Drive, northeast for approximately 13 metres.

NORTH SIDE: From a point approximately 15 metres west of the western kerb line of Shire Hill, east for approximately 38 metres.

SOUTH SIDE:

This Order will be incorporated into 'The Essex County Council (Uttlesford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019' by substituting map tiles: TL545 380, TL545 382, TL550 380, and TL550 382 Revision 0 to Revision 1.

(Fairfax Drive, Saffron Walden) (No Entry) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: 2. To Implement: a 'No Entry' Restriction.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under S81, 82(1) & (2)(b), 83(2), 84(1)(a) and (2) and Parts II and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: 3. To Implement a ‘20mph Zone’.

From its junction with Leverett Way for its entire lengths, including any turning heads, including the Private Drives.

Eddystone Avenue

From its junction with Leverett Way, south for approximately 185 metres.

Fairfax Drive

From its junction with Leverett Way for its entire lengths, including any turning heads, including the Private Drives.

Griffin Place

From its junction with Fairfax Drive, east for approximately 77 metres.

Levellers Lane

From its junction with Campling Street for its entire length including any turning heads, including the Private Drives.

Leverett Way Link Road

From its eastern junction with Leverett Way to its western junction with Leverett Way, for its entire length.

Pearson Road

From its junction with Fairfax Drive, south and west for approximately 91 metres, including the Private Drives.

Sativus Close

From its junction with Fairfax Drive for its entire length, including the Private Drives.

Seversend Drive

From its junction with Seversend Drive, for its entire length, including the Private Drives.

Suffolk Place

From its junction with Leverett Way, for its entire length, including the Private Drives.

Wallace Road

From its junction with Campling Street for its entire length, including the Private Drives.
