What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(ROSEBURN STREET & RUSSELL ROAD)
(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024 – TEMP/24/172

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle ; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of: (i) Roseburn St, from Roseburn Ter to Russell Gdns; & (ii) Russell Rd, from Roseburn St to Roseburn Maltings. The Greenways Order 1997 will be suspended in so far as the no stopping restrictions and loading and parking bays on the specified sections of Roseburn St & Russell Rd are affected by this Order. Existing restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in (b). T he alternative routes for vehicular traffic are via: (i) Roseburn St – Westfield Rd, Stevenson Rd, Balgreen Rd, Saughtonhall Drv, Western Ter, Corstorphine Rd & Roseburn Ter; & (ii) Russell Rd: (1) Murieston Cres, Dalry Rd (A70), West Maitland St, Palmerston Pl, Glencairn Cres, Coates Gdns, Haymarket Ter, West Coates & Roseburn Ter; & (2) Roseburn Ter, West Coates, Magdala Cres, Eglinton Cres, Glencairn Cres, Palmerston Pl, Torphichen St, Torphichen Pl, Morrison St, Dalry Rd (A70) & Murieston Cres.
The order shall have effect from 30/09/24 to 01/11/24.
