TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024 NORWICH

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

1. THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

GALLEY HILL - 1) Galley Hill from its junction with Drayton Road for 50m eastwards and 2) Whiffler Road from its junction with Galley Hill for 50m north-eastwards to facilitate Cadent Gas main gas replacement works from 30th September to 25th October 2024 (may continue until the 25th April 2025). Alternative route via 1) Galley Hill, Bowthorpe Avenue, Bigford Road, Drayton Road and 2) Drayton Road, Boundary Road.

RED COTTAGE CLOSE FOOTPATH - from its junction with Red Cottage Close to its junction with Drayton Road to facilitate Cadent Gas main gas replacement works from 30th September to 26th October 2024 (may continue until the 27th March 2025). NB the alternative route will be sign posted on site where possible.

WINCHCOMB ROAD - 1) Winchcomb Road onto Guardian Road and 2) Part of the Guardian Road to facilitate BT underground works. The Roads 1 and 2 will be phased to prohibit the use of vehicles at the times between 21:00 and 06:00 from 14th October to 20th October 2024 (may continue until 15th November 2024). Alternative route via 1) Guardian Road, Farrow Road, Earlham Road Roundabout, Farrow Road and Guardian Road, 2) Guardian Road, Dereham Road Roundabout and Guardian Road.

2. THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following road:

PEMBROKE ROAD - from its junction with Debringh Road for 50m southwards to facilitate Sewer replacement works from 7th to 30th September 2024 (may continue until 11th November 2024). Alternative route via Debbingh Road, Park Lane, Farrer Road and vice versa.

The effect of the order will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named roads on the dates and at the times mentioned above. If necessary, the restriction could run for a longer period if the event is delayed or for any other reason other than an administrative error. Pedestrian access and vehicular access to properties will be maintained from both directions. The Council also reserves the right to close the roads at any time as required, and to introduce additional traffic measures without further notice as and when required, if the delay occurs and safety is a concern.

The planned dates are when the order is anticipated to start and end and these are subject to change. Restrictions will apply as soon as the appropriate traffic signs are in place.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or disqualification.
