Essex - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures and Traffic Restriction Order.
What is happening?
Essex County Council
(Little Braxted Bridge (No.416), Little Braxted Lane, Rivenhall,
and Witham Road, Little Braxted) (Width Restriction) Order 202*
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order:
To reduce the length of the existing 'Width Restriction' on the following lengths of road in the Parishes of Rivenhall, and Little Braxted, in the Districts of Braintree, and Maldon.
Road: Little Braxted Bridge (No.416), Rivenhall, and Little Braxted
Description: From a point approximately 10 metres northwest of Little Braxted Bridge to a point approximately 10 metres southeast of Little Braxted Bridge, approximately 31.2 metres.
The Essex County Council (Little Braxted Lane, Little Braxted) (Width Restriction) Order 1983 is hereby revoked in its entirety.

(Oak Road, Rivenhall)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Oak Road, Rivenhall in the District of Braintree, from its junctions with A12 for a distance of approximately 180m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th October 2024 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KA190ESVEREN001AB -Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Gigaclear.
An alternative route is available via Oak Road, Henry Dixon Road, London Road, A12, Colemans Bridge, Colchester Road, A12 or A12, B1024, A12, Colemans Bridge, Colchester Road and A12.
The Order will come into effect on 26th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Brandon Road, Braintree)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brandon Road, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Penticton Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a north easterly then northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th September 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP00312001742 - SP Bardwell Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage connection works are undertaken by SP Bardwell Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Brandon Road, Rayne Road, Francis Road, Clare Road, Brandon Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 12th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Lanham Green Road, Cressing)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lanham Green Road, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from both of its junctions with Ashes Road for a distance of approximately 90m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd October 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFNN6F0NSB - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole renewal works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via The Street, Polecat Road, Witham Road, Temple Lane, Church Road, Boars Tye Road, Lanham Green, Lanham Green Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 12th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
