Essex - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works
What is happening?

(Thorpe Road, Little Clacton)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Thorpe Road, Little Clacton in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 180m south west of its junction with Holland Road for a distance of approximately 215m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th October 2024 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (N5005N0023182-1E-CF-EUL - The Electricity Network Company Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by The Electricity Network Company Limited.
An alternative route is available via Thorpe Road, Holland Road, London Road, Montana Roundabout, Centenary Way, Thorpe Road Roundabout Thorpe Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Walton Road/Vista Road, Clacton-on-Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Walton Road, Clacton-on-Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 85m north east of the junction with Thoroughgood Road for a distance of approximately 85m in a north easterly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Vista Road, Clacton-on-Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 45m south east of the junction with Recreation Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a south easterly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 18th October 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF8GF97XSB & BC008WF8GF97X01SB - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole renewal works are undertaken by Openreach.
Alternative routes are available via:
1. Walton Road, Holland Road, Skelmersdale Road, Thoroughgood Road and vice versa (with access only into Walton Road).
2. Recreation Road, Thoroughgood Road, Skelmersdale Road and vice versa (with access only into Vista Road).
The Order will come into effect on 26th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Fourth Avenue, Frinton-on-Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fourth Avenue, Frinton-on-Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Ashlyns Road for a distance of approximately 90m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th September 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001354526 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Ashlyns Road, Second Avenue, Holland Road and vice versa (with access only into Fourth Avenue).
The Order came into effect on 12th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Landermere Road, Thorpe-le-Soken)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Harwich Road/Landermere Road, Thorpe-le-Soken in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Golden Lane to the junction with High Street a distance of approximately 1675m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st October 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2356010 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Harwich Road, Wix Road, Clacton Road, Colchester Road, Wix Road - Stones Green - Zc12, Clacton Road, Bradfield Road, Wix Road, Heath Road, Steam Mill Road, Clacton Road, Mistley Road, Heath Road, The Green, Clacton Road, School Road, The Street, Thorpe Road, Tendring Road, Colchester Road, High Street and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 12th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
