What is happening?

THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
The Council has made the Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit vehicles on:
High Street, Falkirk from 20:00 on 28/09/24 until 08:00 on 29/09/24, 20:00 on 05/10/24 until 08:00 on 06/10/24, 20:00 on 12/10/24 until 08:00 on 13/10/24, 20:00 on 19/10/24 until 08:00 on 20/10/24. The prohibition is to allow for demolition works to be undertaken.
1. This Order temporarily closes from a point adjacent to East Bridge Street in a westerly direction for approximately 200 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is: B8080, Cow Wynd or vice versa.
Dochart Crescent, Polmont from 07.30 hours on 30/09/2024 until 17.00 hours on 04/10/2024. The prohibition is to allow for carriageway resurfacing.
1. This Order temporarily closes Dochart Crescent, Polmont from its’ junction with Kenmore Avenue for a distance of approx. 200m in a north-westerly direction to its’ end
2. No alternative route available; local access will be maintained
York Street, Falkirk, from 07:30 hours on 30/09/2024 until 17:00 hours on 03/10/2024 to allow for carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
1. This Order temporarily closes York Street, Falkirk from its junction with Kennard Street to a point 210m in an easterly direction from the Kennard Street junction.
2. The alternative route: local access only - for access to the road end of York Street, access can be gained via Kennard Street, Grange Drive, Adam Street and vice versa.
Roselea Drive, Brightons from 07:30 hours on 02/10/24 until 17:00 hours on 05/10/24 to allow for carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
1. This Order temporarily closes Roselea Drive, Brightons from its junction with Greenvale Drive to its road end.
2. No alternative route available - local access to be maintained as far as practically possible.
C20 Denovan Road, Dunipace from 08:00 on 03/10/24 until 18:00 on 13/10/24. The prohibition is to allow for utility works to be undertaken.
1. This Order temporarily closes from a point adjacent to A872 in an easterly direction for approximately 3500 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is: A872, A883, B905, C20 or vice versa.
Smith Street, Falkirk from 07:30 hours on 03/10/2024 until 17:00 hours on 04/10/2024 to allow for carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
1. This Order temporarily closes Smith Street, Falkirk from its junction with Main Street (B902) to its junction with Hendry Street.
2. The alternative route is: Main Street (B902), Union Street, Hendry Street and vice versa.
