Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on 26 September 2024:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY WMES01 (PART), WOLVERTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2058)
The effect of the above Order will be to prohibit pedestrians and cyclists from entering or proceeding along the following length of redway to enable Power On to undertake the installation of ducting and cabling for a new housing development between 07 and 18 October 2024 (24 hours of every day).
Redway WMES01, Wolverton from its junction Harnett Drive for a distance of 145 metres in a westerly direction.
Whilst the above length of redway is closed the alternative route will be provided within the works area.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 24 September 2024 made the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Order under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STATION ROAD (PART), WOBURN SANDS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (No.2) (Reference: TTRO-1911)
The effect of the above Order will be to prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to enable Network Rail to undertake its annual inspections between 05 October and 07 October 2024 (24 Hours of every day)
Station Road, Woburn Sands from its junction with Summerlin Drive to its junction with Turnpike Court.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Newport Road, A421, Bedford Road, Salford Road, A507, A4012, Turnpike Road and Crawley Road (vice versa).
Access for pedestrians will be maintained throughout the closure.
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 24 September 2024 made the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Order under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN BLETCHLEY, CALDECOTTE AND TILBROOK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2049)
The effect of the above Order will be to prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to enable Vattenfall Networks to undertake works to Install ducts for a 33kV network HV cable.
The following length of road will be closed from 07 October to 13 October 2024:
Wadesmill Lane, Caldecotte from its Junction with Cook Close to its junction with Tredington Grove.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Chase Avenue, Lichfield Down, Brickhill Street, Heybridge Crescent and Walton Road (and vice versa).
The following length of road will be closed from 11 November to 17 November 2024:
Monellan Grove, Caldecotte from its Junction with Bletcham Way to its junction with Caldecotte Lane.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Monellan Crescent, Heybridge Crescent, Brickhill Street and Bletcham Way (and vice versa).
The following length of road will be closed from 25 November to 30 November 2024:
Bond Avenue, Bletchley from its Junction with Bletcham Way to its junction with Dane Road.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Bletcham Way, Watling Street and Bilton Road (and vice versa).
The following length of road will be closed from 06 January to 12 January 2025:
Sherbourne Drive, Tilbrook from its Junction with Brickhill Street to its junction with Bradbourne Drive.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street and Bradbourne Drive (and vice versa).
The following length of road will be closed from 06 January to 30th January 2025:
Watling Street, Bletchley (northbound carriageway) from its Junction with Saxon Street to its junction with Denbigh Road (including one half of Centurion Roundabout).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Saxon Street, Bletcham Way and Denbigh Road.
The following length of road will be closed from 20 January to 08 March 2025:
Denbigh Road, Bletchley at its junction with Granby Roundabout.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Watling Street or via Bletcham Way and Watling Street (and vice versa).
The following length of road will be closed from 27 January to 16 March 2025:
Watling Street, Bletchley (its southbound carriageway only) from its Junction with Drew Court to its junction with Grafton Street.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Standing Way and Grafton Street (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 24 September 2024 made the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Order under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SILBURY BOULEVARD (PART) CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2046)
The effect of the above Order will be to prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to enable National Grid to carry out new connection works between 30 September and 10 October 2024 (24 hours of every day):
Silbury Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes the south-east vehicular accessway between the access road leading to North Tenth Street and Secklow Gate.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Silbury Boulevard. (Vice Versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 24 September 2024 made the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Order under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN WAVENDON, SHEREINGTON, CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES, WOLVERTON, AND OLNEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2046)
The effect of the above Order will be to prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to enable Anglian Water to undertake essential maintenance and repair works on their services.
The following length of road will be closed from 07 October to 09 October 2024 (24 hours of every day):
Silver End, Olney from its junction with The Old gas House to its junction with East Street.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Palmers Road, Coneygere, Church Street, High Street and Marketplace (and vice versa).
The following length of road will be closed from 07 October to 11 October 2024 (24 hours of every day):
High Street Sherington – Between Numbers 1 and 3 High Street Sherington.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via A509, Chicheley Hill (and vice versa).
The following length of road will be closed from 21 October to 23 October 2024 (24 hours of every day):
Cross End Wavendon opposite Number 2 Cross End for approximately 40 Meters.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Lower End Road, Newport Road and Cross End (and vice versa).
Windsor Street, Wolverton between 1 and 7 Windsor Street.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Church Street, Cambridge Street and Aylesbury Street (and vice versa).
The following length of road will be closed from 21 October to 25 October 2024 (24 hours of every day):
Silbury Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes (Westbound) – Between Upper Fifth Street and North Sixth Street.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Upper Fifth Street, Midsummer Boulevard and Silbury Boulevard (and vice versa).

Public Notice for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 26 September 2024:
PUBLIC NOTICE 6: 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 24 September 2024 made the following Traffic Regulation Order, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (reference: TRO-390).
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STANTON LOW) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES EXCEPT FOR ACCESS) ORDER 2024
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a prohibition of motor vehicles, except for access, on Stanton Low between Mill Road and Wolverton Road.
The made Order will take effect on 30 September 2024.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
PUBLIC NOTICE 7: 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3), of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Traffic Regulation Order:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (PORTWAY (H5), MILTON KEYNES) (40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a 40mph speed restriction along Portway (H5), Milton Keynes between Tattenhoe Street (V2) and Fulmer Street (V3).
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at: www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/consultations.
Any representations or objections to the proposals, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to TROteam@milton-keynes.gov.uk quoting reference TRO-414 and to be received no later than 17 October 2024. Any representations received will be taken into consideration before the implementation of the scheme.
PUBLIC NOTICE 8: 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under sections 1, 82(2) and 83(2), of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Traffic Regulation Order:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES (PARTS OF A421, STANDING WAY (H8), GROVEWAY (H9) AND A5130 NEWPORT ROAD, MILTON KEYNES) (40 MPH AND 60 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2015) REVOCATION (IN PART) ORDER 2024
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to revoke the existing 40mph speed restriction on Newport Road in Wavendon, Milton Keynes and replace with a 30mph speed restriction by virtue of street lighting.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at: www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/consultations.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under sections 84(1), (2) and (3), of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Traffic Regulation Order:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (OLD WOLVERTON ROAD, OLD WOLVERTON) (40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024) ORDER 2024
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to formalise the 40mph speed restriction on Old Wolverton Road in Old Wolverton.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at: www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/consultations.
Any representations or objections to the proposals, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to TROteam@milton-keynes.gov.uk quoting reference TRO-418 and to be received no later than 17 October 2024.
