CITY OF WESTMINSTER - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

Vehicles will not be allowed to wait at any time in any of the below closed roads or roads made one-way.

Any vehicle obstructing the road/crane works will be removed. Nothing in the Orders shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.

THE FOLLOWING ROADS WILL BE CLOSED TO VEHICLES for road works, all in 2024 unless stated.

Every effort will be made by the contractor to complete the work as soon as possible.

Eccleston Street between Eccleston Place and Ebury Street on 7 - 8 October 2024, back-up date 14 October 2024, for Utility: Replace Frame and Cover under S81 On Behalf of Vodafone Ltd by OCU. Div = [1] Buckingham Palace Road, Grosvenor Gardens, Hobart Place, Lower Belgrave Place, Ebury Street. Hopkins Street between Hopkins Street Junction with Broadwick Street on 14 October 2024 to 20 June 2025, for Development/Construction Works by Bell Building Projects. Vehicles will be able to gain access to Hopkins Street from the other side of the closure Special Conditions: The allowance is as follows: 1-hour between 09:00 and 11:00 in the morning with an afternoon allowance for 1-hour between 14:00 and 17:00 daily for loading and unloading underneath the gantry on Hopkins Street. Little Newport Street between Charing Cross Road Newport Place on 12 November 2024 to 2 December 2024 for Council Safety Improvement Works Applicant: FMC / WSP. Ped Diversion, Newport Court, Leicester Court, Newport Place Special Conditions: Gerrard Place and Newport Place will become two-way for access. Order is valid for 18 months. HIGH69185.

Long Acre between Mercer Street and Endell Street on 23 to 27 October 2024 for Carriageway Repairs by Ferns TM Ltd. Div = Mercer Street, Shelton Street, Upper St Martins Lane, Garrick Street. Piccadilly Underpass between Piccadilly and Knightsbridge on 13 January 2025 to 18 July 2025 for Tunnel Refurbishment / Safety Upgrades by FM Conway.
