What is happening?

THE CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2024

CROWTON FP11 AND ACTON BRIDGE FP12

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on Crowton Public Right of Way FP11 from a point at OSGR SJ 5779 7540 heading in a north easterly direction for approximately 443 metres to a point at OSGR SJ 5802 7572 where Crowton FP11 joins Acton Bridge FP12.

The temporary closure will continue onto Acton Bridge FP12 from a point at OSGR SJ 5802 7572 where Crowton FP11 joins Acton Bridge FP12 heading in a westerly and then north westerly direction to a point at OSGR SJ 5848 7580 where it joins Cliff Lane, whilst works on or adjacent to the public footpath are undertaken to make safe the footpaths damaged by a waterlogged surface.

The Order came into operation on 12 September 2024 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until works are complete, whichever is sooner.

There is an alternative route.

This order does not prevent any pedestrians with access to premises situated on or adjacent to the public footpaths only accessible from the path or by any emergency vehicle.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TTRO 8022 Ashton Lane Norley in Weaver & Cuddington Ward

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Weaver & Cuddington Ward to enable excavation of 4 trial holes in carriageway works to be carried out by Scottish Power.

Ashton Road - Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 14th October 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 10 days to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic - Traffic should proceed via Delamere Road, Guests Slack, Cooks Hill, Norley Road, Meeting House Lane, Waterloo Lane, Bushells Lane, New Pale Road, Dark Ark Lane, Ashton Road.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TTRO 8008 Overdale Lane Oakmere in Tarvin & Kelsall Ward

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Tarvin & Kelsall Ward to enable excavation of 600m track in verge for EV chargers works to be carried out by Scottish Power.

Overdale Lane - Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 23rd September 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 4 weeks to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic - Traffic should proceed via Tarporley Road, Chester Road.
