RHODDIR DRWY HYN RYBUDD fod Cyngor Gwynedd yn bwriadu dim llai na saith niwrnod ar ôl dyddiad y rhybudd hwn wneud Gorchymyn fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw berson rhag peri i unrhyw gerbyd fynd mewn unrhyw gyfeiriad ar hyd y darn hwnnw o’r Ffordd Di-Ddosbarth a adwaenir fel Ffordd Garth, Bangor o bwynt ger ei gyffordd gyda Min yr Allt gan deithio mewn cyfeiriad gogleddol hyd at ei gyffordd gyda Ffordd Siliwen, Bangor.

Mae angen y Gorchymyn ar sail iechyd a diogelwch i’r cyhoedd yn ystod gwaith carthffosiaeth ar ran Dŵr Cymru.

Y ffordd arall yw teithio mewn cyfeiriad gorllewinol ar Ffordd Siliwen yna troi i’r chwith yn y gyffordd gyda Ffordd Garth Uchaf. Dilyn y ffordd hon mewn cyfeiriad de orllewinol.

Yn y gyffordd gyda Lôn Cariadon, troi i’r chwith i deithio mewn cyfeiriad deheuol hyd at y gyffordd gyda Ffordd Garth (A5). Troi i’r chwith i deithio mewn cyfeiriad gogleddol hyd at y caead ac i’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer cerbydau sydd yn teithio i’r cyfeiriad arall.

Bydd mynediad ar gael i drigolion.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar y 9fed o Hydref 2024 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod na fydd hwy na 3 mis neu hyd nes y cwblheir y gwaith y bwriedir ei wneud ar y ffordd, pa un bynnag fyddo gyntaf. Ar hyn o bryd disgwylir y gellir cwblhau’r gwaith o fewn tua 38.

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
THE GWYNEDD COUNCIL
(UNCLASSIFIED ROAD KNOWN AS GARTH ROAD, BANGOR)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gwynedd Council intend not less than seven days from the date hereof to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed in either direction along that length of Unclassified Road known as Garth Road, Bangor from a point by its junction with Edge Hill travelling northerly up to the junction with Siliwen Road, Bangor.

The Order is necessary on health and safety grounds to the public during sewerage works on behalf of Welsh Water.

The alternative route is to travel westerly on Siliwen Road then turn left at the junction with Upper Garth Road. Follow this road in a south westerly direction. At the junction with Love Lane, turn left to travel southerly up to the junction with Garth Road (A5).

Turn left to travel northerly direction up to the closure and vice versa for vehicles travelling in the opposite direction. Access will be maintained for residents.

The Order comes into effect on the 9th October, 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding three months or until the work which it is proposed to carry out on the road is completed, whichever is the earlier. At this stage it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately 38 days.
