Dudley Street and North Wharf Road - Multiple Traffic Notices
What is happening?
CITY OF WESTMINSTER
DUDLEY STREET AND NORTH WHARF ROAD
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended: The City of Westminster (Cycle Hangars) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*; The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (B Zone) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*; and The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction)(Amendment No. *) Order 202*.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be:
(a) in Dudley Street, to introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions throughout (all sides);
(b) in North Wharf Road, to:
(i) introduce a cycle hangar on the east side of the western arm, outside the entrance to Dudley House, replacing 3.1 metres of residents’ parking;
(ii) remove the pay-by-phone parking place (1 bay) on the south-west side of the western arm, lying across the entrance to Canalside Walk (to be replaced with double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions);
(iii) shorten the length of the 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Monday to Saturday waiting and loading restrictions on the north side of the southern arm, outside Marylebone Boys’ School, by 7.4 metres; and
(iv) introduce a total of 32.3 metres of “at any time” loading restrictions on both sides of the southern arm, immediately to the east of the vehicle lifts for The Point, No. 37 North Wharf Road.
3. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at https:// westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 5. Any objections or other representations about the proposal should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, WSP Traffic Order Team, 3 rd Floor, WSP House, 70 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1AF, or by email to tmo.westminster@wsp.com quoting reference 8092/OMS, by 16th October 2024. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
