Aldridge Court, Temporary Footpath Closure
What is happening?
The County Council of Durham (Aldridge Court, Ushaw Moor) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2024
The Council on 13/9/2024 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to Prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on a 140 metre length of Aldridge Court extending easterly, northerly and westerly from number 31 Aldridge Court (southern side) to the side of the garages opposite numbers 8/9 Middlewood; and also a 20 metre length of Footpath between numbers 26-28 Aldridge Court (northern side); and also a 55 metre length extending to the south of numbers 40-42, western side of number 42 and northern side of numbers 41-42, Ushaw Moor to enable street lighting works to be undertaken. An alternative route will not be signed to pedestrian traffic, but access to properties will be available via other accesses. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The works are expected to commence on Monday 23/9/2024 and are anticipated to be completed in 3 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
