What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Fleet St, new St, Havelock St, Aylesbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Fleet St for approx. 24M. The closure is required whilst SGN major gas works commence on 7th October 2024. Fleet St from 7th Oct - 4 Nov, Havelock St from 28 Oct - 29 Nov. No works to take place between 30th Nov 2024 and 5th Jan 2025. New St closure will commence from 6th Jan - 7th Feb 2025 with access to buses only from Cambridge St heading West to Bicester Rd. Access to Sainsburys car park only. The proposed Order will come into operation on 7th October 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
