What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDLEWAY ABBOTS LANGLEY 67
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Abbots Langley 67, heading west toward High, for an approximate distance of 60m. Alternative route: via Footpath 55, other users via BOAT 72. The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS FOOTPATHS HARPENDEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpaths"):-
1. the footpath situated between No.54 and No.56 Coleswood Road, Harpenden from its junction with Coleswood Road south eastwards to its junction with Linwood Road, a distance of approximately 28m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south east side of Coleswood Road, the footway situated on the south west side of Grove Road, the footway situated on the north west and north sides of Broadstone Road and the footway situated on the west side of Linwood Road.
2. the footpath situated between No.10 and No.12 Linwood Road, Harpenden from its junction with Linwood Road north eastwards to its junction with Tarrant Drive, a distance of approximately 70m. An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of Linwood Road, the footway situated on the north side of Broadstone Road and the footway situated on the east side of Tarrant Drive.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 October 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN BRICKET WOOD, POTTERS CROUCH, HARPENDEN AND REDBOURN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Noke Lane, Bricket Wood from its junction with A405 North Orbital Road north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junctions with Chiswell Green Lane, a distance of approximately 1639m.
An alternative route will be via A405 North Orbital Road, B4630 Watford Road, King Harry Lane, A4147 Hemel Hempstead Road, Bedmond Lane, Potters Crouch, Bedmond Lane, Blunts Lane and Chiswell Green Lane.
2. that length of Blunts Lane, Potters Crouch from its junction with Bedmond Lane south eastwards to its junction with Chiswell Green Lane, a distance of approximately 632m.
An alternative route will be via Bedmond Lane, Appspond Lane, A4147 Hemel Hempstead Road, King Harry Lane, B4630 Watford Road, A405 North Orbital Road, Noke Lane and Chiswell Green Lane.
3. that length of Kinsbourne Green Lane, Harpenden/Luton Road, Redbourn from its junction with A1081 Luton Road south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with A5183 Redbourn bypass, a distance of approximately 3493m.
An alternative route will be via A1081 (Luton Road/St Albans Road), B487 Redbourn Road and A5183 Redbourn Bypass. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on
23 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However,
the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times
indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN SAUNCEY AVENUE, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sauncey Avenue, Harpenden from its junction with Manland Avenue north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Ox Lane, a distance of approximately 677m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Manland Avenue, B652 Station Road, Carlton Road, Sun Lane and Ox Lane. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SOUTHDOWN ROAD, HARPENDEN) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Southdown Road, Harpenden from its junction with Marlborough Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 120m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Southdown Road, Walkers Road,
A1081 St Albans Road, Bull Road and Southdown Road
or via the footway situated on the south side of Southdown Road,
the footway situated on the north side of Walkers Road, the
footway situated on the east side of Queens Road and footway
situated on the south side of Southdown Road.
The Order is needed because vegetation clearance works are
proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 October 2024
for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions
specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on
or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KINGSHILL AVENUE, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) ofthe Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kingshill Avenue, St Albans from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No 49 Kingshill Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Kingshill Avenue, Sherwood Avenue, Marshalswick Lane, The Ridgeway and Kingshill Avenue. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
